I do find all "disguised cakes" kinda disgusting, but that's just me. The idea of biting into a sweet cheeseburger made of cake batter is not appetizing to me.
I watch it with my son because he likes it. Mikey Day reminds me of Tom Bergeron in America's Funniest Home Videos where he kinda knows how shitty his job is but goes a long with it and he grows...

Mikey Day reminds me of Tom Bergeron in America's Funniest Home Videos where he kinda knows how shitty his job is but goes a long with it and he grows on you somewhat. The concept is weak even for half an hour and jesus are the contestants annoying. On a positive note they actually taste the cakes.
I don't watch SNL, which I guess he's famous for, but I loved him in the old David Blaine Street Magic videos. I can't see his face without hearing "what the EFF?!" in my head. Warning, those...

Maybe I'm just an SNL alumni hipster but I also remember the Lonely Island guys from this era, on Channel 101 before they made it big. (All episodes of "The 'Bu" are preserved on YouTube.) A number of now-famous folk got their start on Channel 101, actually.

I also watch the show with my son.
It is extremely cheesey.
But it is fun to see if you can figure out which item is cake.
The Japanese did it better.
