I know that this is very tangential, but this video made me realize that Disney+ does not have the latest episodes of The Simpsons. I am honestly really upset about this. I thought that Disney+ was supposed to be their new “home”, yet I still don’t have access to everything for no discernible reason.
I have been really forgiving about how rightsholders keep removing their content to put on their own services, but when they start arbitrarily keeping specific programming off of one platform they own and putting it on others when it’s not some sort of legacy agreement, this is the kind of straw that breaks the camel’s back. It’s rent seeking, pure and simple.
This happening with Brooklyn99 years ago on Netflix is why I turned back to piracy. I will readily spend hundreds of dollars on a good piracy setup, rather than pay less but for twenty different...

That is indeed really strange. Simpsons s34 is on Disney+ here in Canada. I wonder why they have it restricted to FoxNow and Hulu in the US.
