Episode 1 & 2
After watching all the teasers they showed over the last few weeks, I wasn't expecting literally all the teaser material to show up in the first episode. However, I still enjoyed the first episode! This felt a bit more like a classic Always Sunny episode and I found it funny for the most part. I definitely think that the show has lost a bit of its old charm, it now looks like a proper TV show with properly lit up sets and whatnot. Despite this, I think this episode was a solid start to the season!I really enjoyed the second episode too! It was cool seeing Charlie's sisters show up in this episode. I remember in the season they mentioned Charlie's sister and then she was never mentioned again. In the podcast, they mentioned that they'd simply forgotten about Charlie's sister as a character. So it was cool seeing them finally show Charlie's sister(s) in an episode now. Also was not expecting an OnlyFans name drop haha.
Overall, I liked the first episode. My only gripe with it was the joke about Mac's obsession with eating nuts, which I found funny at first but couldn't hold up for a whole episode.
However, I really loved the second episode. It will definitely become an IASIP classic for me. The interactions between Mac, Charlie, and their respective moms are always top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the introduction of Charlie's sisters; IASIP is at its best when it introduces new original and trashy characters. The scene with Mac's mom burning him, and Frank shooting on the beach (the camera panning around to show people who were only 10 feet away and yet were not surprised at all) had me rolling.
They actually first appeared in the season 1 episode "Charlie Got Molested" (along with Charlie's uncle) but they had no lines.
The nut gag got me in the end; I was tired of it halfway through, but they got me. I love a good body morph reveal. Plus,

Mac nonchalantly mentioning he's all out and he'll need to get some more from Costco got me good.
I felt like both were a "return to form" after the Ireland arc. Classic single episode contained shenanigans and schemes.
The highest point for both episodes was how calm and collected Frank was when he accepted the fact Dennis/Dee were going to kill him. It's been a while since I laughed that hard at a modern episode of IASIP

Love the username! After listening to the latest podcast where they talk about Mac eating actual paper when he ate the contract instead of rice paper, who can say?

They are, or were, real. I can’t find anyone who has eaten one recently, which is probably a good thing actually. There’s also a petition to bring them back, which I’m curious to see if they get a Sunny-related boost.
Oh, I remember them. I meant were the screen used props actual product. Those gags and that crumble were pretty convincing. Haha
I really thought mac's lips were like that die to the blowing up he had to do....alas it was not.....it didn't hit me until his whole face blew up....

How long are threads here on Tildes active? I think it might be a better system to make one topic per season and then just bump the thread weekly when the new episode airs. That would also make it more consistent between weekly releases and season dumps.
As far as I can, topics don't ever expire on Tildes. I think your idea having a topic per season makes a lot more sense. I'll be completely honest, I just copied the TV episode discussion format I'd seen on Reddit. Thinking about it, that format of discussion doesn't really fit in with Tildes haha. I think for future TV show discussions, people should definitely follow your idea. Since Tildes allows for topic titles to be edited, I might change the title here to allow for discussion for the entire season.

I really enjoyed both episodes. The first one had me laughing out loud a couple of times which wasn't really the case in the previous season. Excited to see what they have coming up next, it's been cool to get a bit of an inside look with the podcast while they were writing / filming.
I’m so glad my favorite show is back! It was kind of jarring to see Frank so levelheaded again. He seemed like the Frank from 10 years ago at times. I didn’t expect Charlie’s sisters to actually be the worst or be as successful as they were. I’m glad we finally got to see what was behind some of those doors though!
