MySpace was a lot of fun too but those Top 4/8 friends list always started drama with people wanting to be on them and be placed above other people. For a time, Tom was one of the most famous people in the world to teens because he was automatically added as a friend when you made an account.
I only briefly hopped on the Facebook train at the end of high school and deleted it a semester or two into university. I tried for a while to avoid adding any family members but eventually my mom made an account and I had to accept hers so I stopped posting. I got so annoyed by all the notifications that I was getting (despite opting out of them) about posts that had nothing to do with me so I deleted my account.
A year or two later I stumbled upon Reddit and spent a good decade there. There were so many tight knit private communities I loved there like the mega lounges where you had to be given Reddit gold to get into. If you were gilded in one, you got access to the next mega lounge in the chain (getting Reddit gold in r/lounge got you an invite to /r/megalounge, getting gilded there got you an invite into megamegalounge, then megamegamegalounge, then megaloungeIV and so on for 30+ layers deep) so as you got higher and higher up in the mega lounges, you had fewer but better quality posters. There were so many layers to them and false ending points where they would start using elements or planets like MegaLoungeNeptune which was a good 20 levels deep. /u/avapoet was an absolute legend who made a browser extension for the megalounges that would automatically tag a user in the comments showing if there were part of any of the secret communities but it would only show you the communities you knew about to keep the higher lounges secret. Dan The Man even made an option to leave hidden encrypted comments all over the rest of Reddit that only people with the browser extension could see so we could have our own secret conversations out in the wild. It would look like a regular comment to everyone else but there was a hidden hyperlink with your encrypted message that you needed the extension to detect and reveal the secret messages. We had all these great gift exchanges and secret Santa’s year round that the amazing /u/msobelle took charge of organizing. I was a little heart broken last week when the happy holidays mug I received in a gift exchange a decade ago broke during a move. It was from a dear friend Mrs H in the megalounges who had sadly passed away. I scrubbed my post history and gave up on my accounts after Reddit got rid of the API access and killed Apollo but honestly Reddit started going downhill around the time they removed the option to see how many downvotes something had. Even if they were fuzzed and not super accurate to begin with, they were still helpful in determining if something was a controversial take or not.

One thing I personally struggle with are the non refillable, rechargeable vape pens with medical marijuana in them. I have a bunch from over the years that I can’t dispose of anywhere. None of the dispensaries have any recycling program and you can’t bring them anywhere because of the law so there’s nothing for me to do but collect them in a drawer until a local recycling program starts.

If there are celestial beings out there, I wouldn’t think that a lesser species such as humans can comprehend what they are doing or even recognize the things they see are divine in nature. Our whole understanding of physics and science could be based on something a god is doing like an experiment and we would never know.

Empathy is a pretty good mechanism for that. We know the negative effects pregnancy has on a woman. Men should have the choice to deal with the bad side effects to take away some of the burden from women without having to get a surgery that you need another to undo.
We’ve established that both pregnancy and the hormonal birth control have negative effects on a woman’s body, if I can take something to prevent both of those things in my wife I’d do it in a heartbeat. I’ll get a vasectomy after we have kids but until then we have to rely on condoms which aren’t perfect. With abortions becoming illegal all over the country it’s more important now than ever to make some progress with male birth control.

Is there any way to integrate an Adblocker at all? I remember Apollo didn’t have this issue when opening links in app.

Are there more useful things i could be doing?

Playing the story mode in 2023 has been a trip, as it was so ahead of its time in terms of technology. Its strong sales hopefully hint at a revival of the franchise, given the clear demand for it.
I've always loved how the PETs evolved with each generation. Considering how much technology has advanced, it would be fascinating to see their take on smartphones with 5G that can "jack in" anywhere with cell service. Perhaps they might even adopt an AR glasses approach, where everyone can see their Navis in the real world and we could battle each other anywhere.
They could even go all out and have like a companion app for your iPhone that lets you talk to your AI-powered Navi that you could use in place of Siri!
