Also it's nice to see that Better Call Saul is finally getting it's Emmy nods, and Rhea Seedhom finally getting recognized for her amazing work as Kim. I'm actually conflicted this year, it looks like there's some amazing series up for noms, I personally wouldn't even be unhappy if Andor or The Last of Us beat BCS out, even though it's probably one of my favorite shows of all time.
On the comedy side I'm also glad NoHo Hank from Barry is getting a nod too, I honestly feel like he carried the 4th season of Barry so well. Gaby from Shrinking also getting a nom feels the same way for its first season, I really loved her performance and energy!
As an Asian American, Beef being nominated makes me incredibly happy, watch it if you can! I went to Korean Church for many years and I can say it's very accurate in the portrayal of some of the weird politics and small details that I've seen, in addition to being just an interesting concept.
I guess this is finally the kick in the pants I need to go through Succession, The Bear, YellowJackets, Abbot Elementary and White Lotus though, those have been on my list for a while though I guess I can actually savor them now that we'll be in a bit of a content drought for the next year+
Yes. The writers strike alone would have impacted it. The last time the writers strikes in 2008 the Golden Globes didn’t even have a show they just released a press statement saying who won (it...

Yes. The writers strike alone would have impacted it. The last time the writers strikes in 2008 the Golden Globes didn’t even have a show they just released a press statement saying who won (it was the year Atonement and Sweeney Todd won the top prizes).
But now they can’t even put on a ceremony. Actors aren’t allowed to do awards, film festivals, social media, basically press of any kind. The Emmy’s are usually dated for September but I have no idea what they’re gonna do now.

Succession is probably winning, I ain’t gonna lie to you.
I know it's cliche to complain about who was "snubbed," but I am disappointed Nathan Fielder wasn't recognized. Both The Rehearsal and How To with John Wilson (he produced the latter) were some of...

I must be missing something with The White Lotus. I just watched both seasons and was left mostly bored? It was right up my alley too, so I'm surprised it didn't click with me. There's a lot of...
I must be missing something with The White Lotus. I just watched both seasons and was left mostly bored? It was right up my alley too, so I'm surprised it didn't click with me. There's a lot of good performances, but the story felt unfocused and meandering. The second season was an improvement on the likability of the characters (which, to their credit, are all acted well), but it was still such a slog.
I know it was kind of a long shot, but I'm really disappointed Game Changer didn't get a nomination for Game Show or Game Show Host.
It was an incredible long shot. But maybe next year! I think they're only getting better.

Rhea was FINALLY nominated! Rooting for her!
Succession and the Bear were great, hoping they win some as well. Same with Beef and tlou
I normally don't care too much about awards shows but if she doesn't win we riot right?
Yes I'm gonna have to get to those shows hopefully soon!
Her performance was absolutely excellent. I got my pitchfork ready

Good to know!! I guess I have till September to get through Succession lol
I noticed that Daniel Radcliffe was nominated for his role in Wierd Al's biopic.
No nominations for Stellan Skarsgard or Diego Luna is disappointing. Both were excellent in Andor.

I'm starting to think the Emmys may have been hacked! /s
