I watched season 3 of Slow Horses over the last couple of days and it was quite good! 7/10. Better than seasons 1 and 2 I thought. Looking forward to watching season 4 once the whole thing has been released so that I can binge watch it. There are exceptions, but I prefer to watch shows in one go and not week by week, especially when the episodes are only 40 minutes long.

One of the exceptions is Rings of Power which I've been too hyped for so can't wait until it's all been released and it seems like they're on the same track as season 1! Season 2 feels like its pace is a lot quicker but I don't mind one bit. Really enjoying it even though I'm getting impatient about having to wait every week! (And before anyone asks, my parents didn't pay for cable - we only had 2 channels in my childhood, both of which only had shows aimed at an adult audience (and they were also just bad local productions) so I never got into the habit of waiting a week to follow tv shows)

I tried to watch Love, Death & Robots just now too. The first episode seemed a little juvenile and the second episode looked like a video game cinematic. Maybe it's a stylistic choice for that episode because I'm not sure what the benefits were to not just getting real actors - so I didn't even watch half of it as the CGI for that episode was not good enough for me to stay interested. Maybe there are better episodes along the way but it hasn't grabbed me at all, so I'm gonna drop it as it just isn't really for me.

They absolutely nailed this show. I was really invested in it as I was going along with it but this last season really solidified it as maybe my favorite TV show of all time.

My mom and I just watched the pilot for the new Matlock reboot. She turned it on, and I joined in because why not.

Gotta say, it's refreshing to have a reboot center around an old person rather than a younger relative. Also cool to have the original Matlock be a show in-universe, and Madeline Matlock to coincidentally have the same name. Kathy Bates did a good job in the role, she's really likeable and charismatic. She hasn't practiced law in years, but she's great at getting people to open up and give her what she needs.

And other than that... It actually REALLY surprised me. This show turns out to have an overarching plot rather than being episodic, though naturally the pilot focuses on a single case as she joins the firm as a research assistant after not practicing law for years. I highly recommend checking it out if you like law shows.

I just finished the first season of 'The Terror'. Some really strong performances and a decent story, but I wasn't 100% sold on the supernatural aspects of the story. Still, while not tip-top entertainment, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who likes horror, adventures, the polar regions, or Jared Harris.
