This is one of those things where context is super helpful for the outside observer. What is Murder Drones? Why announce it vs any other media on Amazon? Is it advertising?

It's an independently created web series on YouTube. So it getting onto Amazon Prime Video is kind of a big deal for them. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_Drones And if you want to watch...
NP. :) I think the Bluesky announcement post from the studio, that moocow posted in a comment along with the topic, does a pretty good job of explaining why it’s such a big deal for them too.

HUGE NEWS!! As of just a minute ago, Murder Drones is now also officially streaming on PRIME VIDEO!!!
Our mission at GLITCH has always been to creatively and systemically change the animation industry for the better. As part of this higher vision, we're teaming up with Prime Video, who have agreed to support us and our future shows in a multi-title licensing licensing deal.
What this means is we keep operating independently, doing what we're doing and Prime Video will give us the support necessary to do more for indie animation and creators than we could have previously.
Just to be super clear - we're still keeping 100% creative control, still completely independent, and our original series will always continue to release on YouTube! NOW GO WATCH MURDER DRONES!
It didn't really because I think I lacked the context you had. It was to me just a creator being excited about their show. I read it and then came back to ask questions. So if it's just because...

So if it's just because it's a thing people already like and want to share, great, please just tell me/us newbs about it so I consider checking it out!
It's independent animation from an interesting voice if you had a bunch of people raised on Invader Zim era Hot Topic and asked them to make a show about robots in space. It's a bit disorganized,...
It's independent animation from an interesting voice if you had a bunch of people raised on Invader Zim era Hot Topic and asked them to make a show about robots in space. It's a bit disorganized, but it's animated well and it's genuine in a way that if there's at least a little bit of 2000's scene kid in your being, it might just click for you. Plus the run is free on YouTube.

Fair enough. Makes sense. I didn't know if you had seen it yet or not.
No I appreciate the try, I just feel like I'm begging someone to sell me on the things they like about the show.

Giving this a watch right now. I'm enjoying it. Definitely Millennial-coded.
