Finally got convinced to watch The Pitt despite being not really being in the mood for a new medical show having previously watched 10-12 season of Greys Anatomy with my wife until we just couldn't anymore. It's of course very well made. It feels like the cast knew each other beforehand and despite being just thrown into a busy day for the first episode their interactions are really convincing and engaging. Noah Wylde is just born for that role. It's impressive that they've managed to make such a fresh take on a horse beaten genre.

My absolute favorite show at the moment is Pluribus. I doesn't get any better than slow paced Vince Gilligan i my book. Rhea Seehorn is absolutely magnificent carrying the show almost by herself and the story is intriguing and original. I love the weird confusing almost positive take on a dystopian future combined with a great score and long (and sometimes insignificant feeling) scenes. It really stands out for me and tinkles my curiosity with a hint of well placed anxiety. I can certainly see why some people think it's too slow and uneventful but not me. It's so wonderfully different from most other shows.

I really enjoyed The Pitt and agree - Noah Wyle is fantastic as Robinavitch; I feel like he really earned that Emmy. I thought the show did a great job of weaving together all the characters, and there were some moments that seemed like little gifts to the audience, like Brad Dourif showing up to play Fiona's Dourif's father, or Tracy Vilar also being cast (she was also in ER, in the live episode). I think there were a few other actors that were in both ER and The Pitt (other than the obvious Noah Wyle).

Another fan of the Pitt here. It's quickly becoming a favorite show.

I’m also enjoying Pluribus a lot. It’s a show where I’ll ask a question, and the writers anticipated the question because it’s answered a few minutes later. It’s also the kind of show that benefits from listening to a related podcast. The Prestige TV podcast has some episodes about it. They also cover Slow Horses but I’ve on watched one episode of that from the new season.

I binged The Chair Company in a day and mostly enjoyed it. There are times when the dialogue and story beats feel like an LLM being prompted to write a weird story--while other beats are quietly masterful. The final episode is perfect in the sense that it gives you many possible interpretations to take home. I'm likely to regard it more highly as the days go by but right now it feels more Tommy Wiseau than Twin Peaks.

Ransone was awesome as Ziggy Sobotka (The Wire S02), and a bunch of other things (How to Make it In America, Generation Kill, IT and more). Great actor with a shit life.
