I think she would have been a better fit for the Toy Story 5 song, but one day she can find something else to write a song for, or she can even win one for acting.

I was surprised that Ariana Grande not only has not won an Emmy but didn’t get nominated for her SNL episodes. She should have easily won that last year for her October 2024 episode.

I don't want to be a downer here, but I don't feel like it was really all that award-worthy. I enjoyed the special and I think it was a big step in the right direction for the muppets, but it wasn't like mind-blowing or anything. Kinda feel like these awards either had hardly any competition or this was a nod to the legacy of the Muppets, rather than the quality of the special.

And again --- I enjoyed the special, and I sincerely hope we get more. It just wasn't like "award winning" TV for me.

Disney just has no idea what to do with the IP, so whenever someone comes to them with a pitch, in this case Seth Rogen, then they usually give them the gig. That's also why we have the 2011 Jason Segel movie.

It's competition was two comedy specials (Dave Chappelle and Nikki Glaser) the Wicked event and Taylor Swift's documentary about the Era's Tour. So compared to those this had a ton more craft and production value at the helm.

In a way, I do like that it was just an episode of the show. I think in these intervening years Disney's been needing them to do something special in order to make a project with them. But, this shows that you can just show them doing their thing.
