      It's not just PR. Public relations affects viewer numbers, viewer numbers affect ratings, ratings affect advertising, and advertising affects profits. If people turned off the show (or if it...

      It's not just PR. Public relations affects viewer numbers, viewer numbers affect ratings, ratings affect advertising, and advertising affects profits. If people turned off the show (or if it wasn't broadcast) due to protests over its content, then the studio would just pull the plug on the show because they couldn't afford to lose money.

      Pushing the boundaries too far would have led to no show in which to push boundaries at all.

      Sad but true.
