The first two seasons of Arrested Development are the greatest TV comedy ever created, in my opinion. Season 3 is decent, though significantly worse. I don't think the new seasons devalue that.

S01-S02 were solid, S03 was okay, S04s remix didn't save it, but did try to improve it, and the first half of S05 was just okay. I liked the last half of S05. It wasn't as goofy or tight as S03,...

Overall, it feels like the cast, writers, etc were completely out of touch with the fanbase. I've never known such a passionate fanbase to cry out, 'its ok -- you can stop!' so much. :)
