Not everything has to be about solutions and morals. Part of what makes some modern shows really good is that they aren't trying to openly preach or inspire anything, instead it's all about telling a story and doing it well. BoJack is a bad person, but you also feel sorry for him. Is him being such a bad person his fault? Probably not, he had a really fucked up upbringing. Can he do good? Maybe, sometimes. But can he truly do anything about who he is? Is his awful past a justification for being bad? Do you want to watch a trainwreck?
You, the viewer have to decide dor yourself. And in the meantime all the other characters on the show are also going through their lives and have their stories. This show exels at winding nuanced complex narratives that areb't balck or white, and that's what makes a great show.
Now I'm not saying there is no agendas or certain points the scriptwriters are hinting at or sneaking in, but these things are never in the front and they are just moden life satire.
What I also love about this show is its treatment of shock content - a lot of "adult" animation shows are trying to be as edgy and as shocking as possible, but BoJack earns all its shocking moments by building them up and spinning them very creatively.

He was once on top of the world, and now finds himself washed up and disliked, and everyone but him can see that it's his actions and treatment of others that brought him to this point.
