I'm glad to see more of this, but I have no idea where they will be going with this. The movie was already a bit of a retread on the themes of the show.
That being said, I would really like to see more about how the characters have evolved over time, particularly with Pearl and Lapis. And I will love it if they can do some of the more free-form style animation they used occasionally in the action scenes in the movie, just as an animation buff.

Steven Universe Future? I guess it is an Anime now.
I did hypothesize about Steven having to deal with the consequences of his own actions in season 6; by destabilizing the Gempire, I'd imagine a lot of the gems maintaining it are miffed enough at him to start an insurrection, and Jasper and Aquamarine appear to be pretty big players. Also of note is if that is White Diamond in the villain lineup, then she's answering to the whatever the giant insect monster is, per the traditions of anime OPs.
