I don't know. John Kricfalusi was pretty bad at making Ren and Stimpy when Spike (another Viacom company) picked it up. I feel Ren and Stimpy was at its best when it had to operate with the tension of being a kid's cartoon, mostly, while barely toeing the line most of the time, and sprinting across it often.
Hopefully its new handlers understand the importance of this tension and can keep it in the show.
