So finally we're getting to some interesting stuff. So it's confirmed that it's all Wanda doing it, she has Vision's dead body and is puppeteering it, and is controlling everything.
This is also the point where the ~27min long episodes are starting to hurt the format in my opinion. The reappearance of old characters was great, the starting scene of the blip occuring in a hospital was very interesting, but it all ended so soon.
On one hand it's all very tight, on the other hand it'll feel especially bothersome when filler shows up, because there the episodes are so short.
Also Wanda definitely had sex with Vision's dead body, holy shit.

I am really disappointed in this episode. WandaVision was doing a fairly good job of "show, don't tell", but then I guess the producers were worried that people wouldn't get it, so they spent an entire episode on exposition.
All the weird stuff that happened in episodes 1-3? Don't worry, we'll explain every last part of it in excruciating detail.
I wanted a Lynchian mystery, or another Legion; but in the end, this is just mass-market Marvel doing its thing.
I personally really liked getting some explanations finally. I like mystery in my shows, but I also like having it explained at some point so the theories I had up to that point can be...

I don't think E1-3 did a good job of "show, don't tell", admittedly they built mystery as to why the shit that was happening was happening, but that's about it.
That’s the thing though...it was still good in my opinion. As Lynchian as the early episodes were you know in your heart it was never going to be that. It’s the MCU, of course they want to appeal...
That’s the thing though...it was still good in my opinion. As Lynchian as the early episodes were you know in your heart it was never going to be that. It’s the MCU, of course they want to appeal to the masses because it has mass appeal and they want this show to matter for phase 4. It can’t be so weird that people skip it and then don’t understand why Wanda is a villain in future films.
I already have quite a few MCU fan friends and family that were completely turned off by episode 2 and just didn’t get what was going on. Conversely deep lore comic fans probably know too much about what’s going on and kinda kills the suspense.
Thank god we're finally seeing stuff outside the tv shows. I'm actually impressed they cleared up pretty much every single "weird" part of episodes 1-3, leaving us with potentially fresh ideas for...

Considering the short episodes and overall season length, I still consider the first episodes to be a bit of a waste. That retro joke ran out of steam, fast, as cute as it is.

We're early enough in the show for it to juke back to Wanda is actually being influenced by Mephisto/AIM/Chthon/the need to sell Disney Plus subscriptions, but Wanda losing herself to grief and hiding in television land is what I thought going in, so no big surprise reveal for me. To go meta though, Feige had an interview where he said it's going to be more than House of M's setup of "Wanda be cray cray" and we have another half of the show to go through, so we'll have to see what happens next.
I was originally planning on linking to the previous ep discussion, but then I saw that no one posted a comment. :( To be honest I feel like ep 3 was almost entirely filler, I was personally...

To be honest I feel like ep 3 was almost entirely filler, I was personally really annoyed by the end that they did another "here's another decade of US sitcoms, see ya next week!" episode.
I was actually worried we'd get 8 episodes of that, with maybe a little twist in the second half of episode 8.

Oh, sorry... 3 was ok, really liked them playing with the aspect ratio and bringing in more of the MCU adjacent baggage. 70's shenanigans were a bit much, even with the dramatic chaser.

Definitely! Especially with the short episodes, filler stings even more than with usual 40min episodes.
