Comment on Should the US voting age be lowered to sixteen? in ~society

You go to vote and it just polls you on your opinion on eg. the border, weed, abortion, and other current issues. Obviously this would be hard to implement fairly, but it seems like an ideal case.
Short term, I'd like to see political parties removed from ballots. Even if people just Google who is running in their party. That's closer to researching than I feel like most people do.
Long term, is like to see most politicians removed. I'm a digital age, why do we need congressmen to vote on issues for us if it's so easy to just directly poll us?

Comment on What the research says about a $15 minimum wage in ~life
BJJ I'd like to see research on the percentage of people earning minimum wage that are supporting a family vs how many are people (school age kids or otherwise) just earning some extra spending money....I'd like to see research on the percentage of people earning minimum wage that are supporting a family vs how many are people (school age kids or otherwise) just earning some extra spending money. Migrant workers (specifically talking about my experience with people following the onion harvest here) are guaranteed minimum wage despite being paid by how much work they get done. Most of these people make well above minimum wage, but because the farmer has to pay at least minimum wage, they can't hire a slow moving elderly person that doesn't need $15 an hour, but just wants a little extra to help out. I feel like a lot of minimum wage earners pushing for this are going to find out that they're not adding $15/hr value to their company.
I also believe the federal minimum wage needs to be low for the areas where the cost of living is so low that places can't afford to pay that and people can live off less. Some states/counties/cities probably do need to raise their minimum wage as of now, but 15 is high for an across the country number.
I'd much rather see addressed the problem of why people who are trying to support a family are earning minimum wage than to just raise the salary of everyone.

- Satisfactory (1st person version of factorio, but less complete)
- Kerbal Space Program. This game is hard, but the learning curve itself is what makes it fun for me.
- Surviving Mars
- Mobile, I just got back into old school RuneScape, and stardew valley for when I don't have internet.

The problem with a pi is you shouldn't use the sd card for anything other than booting (the larger one you get, the hotter it'll get and the shorter life it'll have, especially with more use), and adding more storage faster than USB2 is complicated. I have done a MC server on my pi3, but I've only ever tried it with one player.
