    Undergrad degrees in Math and Physics here. Currently working as an engineer, likely going back to school for a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (possibly focused on signal processing).

    I did an internship at CERN while in undergrad! Seems to be a disproportionate amount of CERN folks here. I worked on CMS though.

    Yup! It's a lot of fun and very satisfying, though it can definitely be a lot of work. Following through is exactly why I like it though. I often have trouble finishing things, so having a couple...

    Yup! It's a lot of fun and very satisfying, though it can definitely be a lot of work. Following through is exactly why I like it though. I often have trouble finishing things, so having a couple other people that are expecting me to have stuff together every week or two is a good motivator.

    Hey, I'm BeskarKomrk. I've been on reddit for 6+ years, but I've definitely used it less and less over the years, mostly due to the increase in random bigotry. I work as an engineer doing a combination of research and programming. I recently turned 25, which prompted a minor life crisis, so I'm spending this year trying to complete some personal projects. In my spare time, I play guitar, sing, and write songs, as well as playing in/DMing a couple of D&D campaigns. I'm a big fan of sci-fi/fantasy books, cooking, eating, and science/research more generally. I'm a bit of a news junkie. I also have a very cute dog who is asleep on the couch next to me.
