Hey, this is a pretty cool channel! It has some nice, digestible content on a variety of issues. Thanks for posting.

But I dare not comment on anything opinion-related because of how easily searchable it is. At least on tildes, given its mission and privacy, I do feel at least a little more comfortable to just share some miscellany.

One problem is that while I really like the idea of Tildes, I currently find myself forcing myself to interact on the site, because it's much like reddit was in the beginning - few users and low content production. And so while I like the site, I currently don't enjoy it that much because the rate of content creation is so slow. And content creation can only come with growth. Of course I agree that it should be paced to try to establish a community with strong principles, but at the same time Tildes risks losing people if it can't provide what reddit does. I think that I spend maybe an average of 10 min/day on Tildes but 3+ hr/day on reddit.

At least it's an opt-in type of thing, rather than a lot of companies that will just notify you of a privacy policy update and start collecting the data anyways. Pretty much every car since the beginning of GPS inclusion has the capability to send off your driving and location data to the manufacturer. Tesla, in fact, automatically opts-in users to sending their driving data, and it's not clear if you can opt out last time I checked.

To me, this is a poorly written article -- nearly clickbait. The author spent the entire article beating around the bush and not answering the question in the title. The writing is unfocused and meandering, and by the time I've read 70% I still don't have an answer to the title. It seems like an interesting experiment but I have no idea what the actual answer to the title question is.
