The permwdewth character and equipment sounds kind of fun in a 'I like to annoy myself with challenge' kind of way :)

Videos of this game pop up on my YT feed as I tend to watch game challenge runs. I think the guy I usually see if VR, which I can imagine is terrifying, especially if you are in a dead silent room.

Pretty much the title. We all play all sorts of games, and they generally are all good games. However, every once in a while you start a game that just hits the right notes and you hate putting your controller or device down, and you can't stop thinking about things you want to do when you get back in front of that game. I figure we could post up our current addicting games so others can search them out as well :)

My current addiction is Frostpunk. Got it on a whim from the Steam Summer sale, and my Lord am I addicted. It's a really good (to me) post civilization survival game where you try to establish and rebuild life with a new world around you. Surprisingly challenging and the scenarios are very fun. I bought it 2 weeks ago and have 63 hours into it.

Watched most of it. Was doing some chores so didn't see portions of it, but for the most part it was nuts because the teams knew the thunderstorms were coming through. I'm a Bubba fan and watching him go from a too ten finish to high 20s right before stage 2 ended was soul crushing. Preece got loose above him and turned down in, nothing that could have been done. It's just part of racing. However the entire race was fun and frantic from what I saw, a lot of draft slingshots going on in 3 wide racing.

The learning curve is about medium difficulty but it's so fun to try and figure out mechanics. It's also got some challenging and fun scenarios. I'll probably get several hundred hours out of this game, which at the steam sale price is a great deal.

I think people who play stuff like war of tanks and the ship version (name escapes me) may find it enjoyable to jump in and learn the game.

Everything was bought from Home Depot, so maybe that has something to do with it. The screws I bought said 'lifetime guarantee' so figured that was a good pairing with the Trex, and the color was perfect for the board color too. I wonder if thicker t25 would have reduced the issues. I saw some with t25 heads, but not the same color.

The impact driver helped, definitely reduced destroyed bits but I still chewed 2 more up. The rate I was going at was going to be about 15 bits total. Instead I only destroyed 6.

Yea, this is an impact driver, not a hammer drill for concrete. I used one of those last year to place concrete anchors under my deck. That was fun haha.

I weight 280 and I was leaning on the back of the drill as I was screwing in, so I believe there was enough pressure. When it stripped, it was the bit itself, and was stripped all the way into the screw head, not like it was cammed out. It seems that for some reason the splines on the torx bits are slowly getting chewed up and then just fail after about 80 screws or so.

Some pointed out it may be because I'm using a normal drill and not an impact drill. I have an impact drill so I will try it tomorrow after I get new bits.

I am on an antidepressant, escitalopram. I had been slowly putting the weight on before that. I'd say at around 25 I started putting weight on. It's ultimately my fault, it's just hard. 3 years ago I did a meal replacement program that was physician monitored. Blood work every month, followed by a meeting with the provider. I lost 70 lbs, was down close to my goal weight. They transitioned me to normal food again. I stuck with it OK for about 2 months and then slowly starting slipping in bad food, overeating, and it slowly went back to before. To add to it, I had been playing indoor soccer and a back 2 back game night caused a partial knee ligament tear, and I stopped being able to play sports. My knee took over a year to fully recover. In that year I put basically all the weight back on.

I'm not trying to post for pity, it's just on topic with the thread. I wish I could have a pill force me to eat less and I feel like if I could lose the weight, I'd be more willing to try to get back into sports. Sports at least made me feel if I didn't show up, I was letting teammates down, so it was an indirect motivator. Most nights I enjoyed it too. I've tried gym memberships and I just end up never using it.

Hey all, a lot of replies here, so gonna try to catch them all.

I have a ryobi impact drill, I thought that would have made it strip faster. This is my first time doing a large wood project like this, so that's my inexperience. I will get new bits and swap to the impact driver and see how that works.

I was making sure to be firmly in and straight over the screw. When they stripped, it was at most of the way down and the angle was usually the same between the drill and the screw.

For setting, I am on the slow/ torque setting. This also helps me make sure I don't overdrive the screw into the board and am getting similar depth each screw.

I can use Vaseline to prelube, but want to try using an impact drill first and see if that is the source of my issue.

Thank you everyone. I'll probably go grab the new bits tomorrow and work on the deck some more. Crossing my fingers the drill does it.

Ryobi cordless drill. I tried using a clutch but it had 25 settings, and if I go 20 it doesn't go all the way in, but at 21 it will go straight through the board.

I did read after I posted this, and some reviewers indicate a similar issue to what I am having. The color and the way it looks once in is great, but this is a pita.
