Functional but detached in a way that makes them dangerous but since they're 'so successful' they get to feel correct while supporters get a dopamine hit from their belief in their Tech 'lords'. The story by Margaret Atwood's 'Oryx and Crate' comes to mind.

One quick look at attendance statistics shows that perhaps the women standing on the field need more of them in the stands.
Avid vs. Casual fans of sports (in the U.S.) is a difference of 2% for men.
For women, 35%

A friend was in charge of an interview taking place with the actor Anthony Daniels who played CP-30 in Star Wars. My friend needed a couple of of lights and a dimmer so he stopped by to pick them up on the way to the interview. It turned out he was also in charge of driving him in from the airport to the convention center so when he arrived to pick up the lights he had Anthony Daniels with him. He was super nice and charming and we went on a walk around the warehouse. He said it reminded him of being on set for movies and he casually said, "Once, when I was on the Millennium Falcon, with all of it's switches and lights blinking...then you lean a bit back, and it's all plywood and colored gels taped to it. Movie magic, I always loved it".
Just being in a casual conversation with someone who truthfully says with all seriousness that they were on the Millennium Falcon will always be a highlight.

From Dust is a god video game, designed by Éric Chahi and developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade in 2011. Described as a spiritual successor to Populous, the game revolves around The Breath, which was summoned by a tribe to help them seek and recover their lost knowledge. In the game, players, controlling a cursor, can manipulate matter such as lava, soil, and water. Players can help the tribespeople to overcome challenges including finding different totems and overcoming natural disasters. In addition to the story mode, the game features a Challenge mode which offers a shorter, but harder experience.
Agreed. Honestly, Cannabis strains probably had 20% less THC within the last decade. If they can isolate weak weed they can sell it... There's a lot of people who would enjoy smoking 10% to 14% instead of 27% and 33% varieties.
