I’ve been drawn to his fantasy for his wonderful worlds and great characters. He is such a great author in my opinion.

Patience, you’re never gonna win a 1 v 5 so don’t rush in and feed the opponent. Instead actually group up and go in.

I’m really curious to see some of the research the EPA and states that are proposing to ban gas (without ventilation). I’d like to see cancer/related disorders rates for a fully mitigated vent system.

I would say pretty familiar. I used to work for the EPA in my state, so I dealt with lots of environmental issues. Most people are very curious when I tell them what I do and never have any idea...

I think as a society we need to take these large events (wildfires in canada (air pollution), east Palestine in Ohio (haz waste pollution)) to educate the public with something that hopefully sticks. An educated populace on these issues would help our society.

As with most things, gas stoves have various efficiencies. Nothing hits 100% so there are always some byproducts created (CO, CO2, etc). Adequate ventilation will handle this but many gas stoves don't have it. I remember my college gas stove had no vent at old and the stove was old as hell.

Adding ventilation is a small form of risk management, and it is up to you to weigh the risks of potential worse air quality for the cooking experience. I personally want to try out induction when I make the change. Would work with my carbon steel pans that I love to use.

    • All the reposts and content stealing.

    • So many trolls even on small subreddits or local subreddits.

    • Hard to have an actual scientific conversation. Ex. The recent air pollution of the NE/Midwest states had a lot of misinformation. Had someone yell at me because I was using EPA definitions.

    • Low effort posts that were just tweets. I was an avid r/nba user and that place was so reactionary and bad.

    Things I’ll miss

    • local subs for sport teams and my city.
    • the buildapc and buildapcsales subreddit.
