Damn, that's embarrassing...totally different developers! The mechanics are so similar I thought for sure it'd be the same guys.

I haven't tried the developers new game called Halls of Torment yet but from what I've seen it's quite similar to Vampire Survivors. Has anyone else given it a go yet?

Edit: not the same developers apparently! Crazy because of how many things are exactly the same

It also completely ignores the removal of sexual NSFW content from 3rd party apps, even if they did pay. This is arguably the most egregious part and he doesn't even mention it.

Similarly, looking at activity nothing has happened. Even during blackout people just used the remaining subreddits.

Spez sold Reddit for 10M along with kn0wthing back in the day which Spez has said he severely regrets. It's pretty clear now that he wants to get his bag with an IPO, the health of Reddit be damned.

What if they want to IPO faster? Steve could think the value of Reddit is at it's peak right now and delaying the IPO further back risks reducing his payout.

Why shut down possible revenue streams and anger people over being unreasonable if the answer is IPO?

Isn't part of the "federated" concept that the website is hosted on user hardware? I could imagine taking all of reddits refugees could get outrageously expensive if that's the case

but if I'm not mistaken they also already said that they actually not want to take in all the reddit refugees.

I would recommend going on youtube and looking up a video on the history of Diablo lore to catch yourself up. The story of D4 is really, really strong IMO and is a lot easier to understand if you...

Story wise, I have no clue what the hell is going on, but I've never really been into the lore. I kinda want to go back and look up what happened in 3 so I know where Cain and co. all ended up.

With an API, Tildes only has to return a small amount of text instead of the full HTML representation for the same data. This is a huge savings for Tildes in resources required to serve the requests.

I don't disagree with your point about the monetization being excessive but it's important to keep in mind that the cash shop is cosmetics only. The rest of the game is huge and is more than worth the $70 price tag IMO. The main questline has 6 full acts of content plus the numerous side quests that are actually quite entertaining...I've already sank 50+ hours into it and it's been a blast.

They are removing sexual NSFW content from the API even if you pay for it. That level of feature disparity is essentially equivalent to pulling the API completely, IMHO.

He also said in a previous AMA that the API wasn't going anywhere either. Spez doesn't have any integrity.
