I don’t have an answer to your question, and I’m also interested, but I do want to point out that comment was written 13 years ago. In case the landscape maybe has shifted since then.

I think that 10 is only per lens (a feature I keep forgetting to try)

I don’t think this is correct. The text string used in the initial QR code is all you need in order to generate correct tokens at the right time. This can happen from any offline device.

As an example, I use 1Password for all my 2fa tokens. It syncs these to all of my devices and even supports auto fill.

It does take the second “device” out of 2fa, but the second factor is definitely still there. Without unlocking my vault, I can’t access my 2fa codes, and I do this each time with a biometric scan.

For my purposes I find it a really nice balance between extra security and convenience.

    Star Trek: Voyager

We spend 7 years bonding with a crew and set on a mission of getting home. The final episode is a high stakes drama of then making a final push, and they can see home in sight, and it cuts to credits.

Each character spent so much time yearning for home that we deserved a chance to see what that looked like for them. Even a short montage without any dialogue would have been better than the emptiness were left with.

Cool! A few questions if you don’t mind:

    1. Did you buy a traditional server? I feel like Dell and HP charge like $5000 for servers with those specs. I know you can get used, several year old machines without warranties for far less. Or did you build your own?

    2. Do you keep any spare components around? I know I’d worry that any hardware failure would become my immediate responsibility to travel back over and fix

Do you have any suggested further reading on fully open borders? I’d be interested in learning any analysis or discussion on the concept.

I really don’t have any other constructive feedback - just wanted to go out of my way to say thanks!

I think the biggest issue I run into is that when I’m mocking up database ideas, I always want to write down examples of content that might go in each field. Basically pre populate a few example rows. None of them give me a structure to quickly capture that.

Thanks! I ended up installing Logseq because I like that it seems like a lighter weight version of Obsidian (markdown based), but I might also give this a try next.

How long is a typical journal entry for you? All of the documentation only shows one-sentence example journal entries, so I'm having a hard time imagining what a filled-out journal is meant to be....

Is the intended use-case meant to be just to quickly capture very short thoughts?

Which plan did you sign up for? I’ve got no idea how many searches I do each month but I feel like it must be hundreds.
