I listen all day and night, pretty much. I don't know how many thousand of podcasts I've listened to since around 2010, but I have listened to so many, it's like it was my job.

I don't sleep well, so I have certain commercial free ones I replay to fall back asleep throughout the night. I listen as soon as I wake up and make coffee etc - I only listen to easy to follow comedic ones during this time. Shower can be anything that won't subject me to commercials I can't skip. Getting ready for work I'll pop on whatever I'm binging on the hardest. Driving I only listen to light things I don't necessarily need my brain for, and when I arrive to work I continue on with whatever serial fiction story I'm enjoying at the moment. I regularly have fifty some podcasts going, and I don't find it hard to keep them straight as I dip and out thought the day/week. I have multiple apps, because everything isn't available everywhere, and I regularly download old forgotten radio series' from Internet archive. I intersperse all of these with audiobooks.

I don't have small children anymore, and I am mostly alone at work, and my husband died young, so I have almost unlimited hours in a day for podcasts. That makes me an outlier, but it's my TV - I ditched cable in 2012, and never looked back.

That has been exactly my complaint about self checkout since it's inception. I don't get a discount for scanning, I don't get a discount for bringing my own bags, so WHY should I use self checkout? I have to wait and find a teller if I buy booze, which also slows me down.

I don't understand how the stores have conned us all into free labor. Have some self checkout stations for those who like it, but I DON'T WORK HERE.

I live in the north of the US, great lakes region, and my bell peppers were the worst crop ever in my decades of growing them. I did nothing different, but I think I only had about five small peppers from each plant. I think it just wasn't hot enough here this year. Ironic, considering everyone else in the country sweltered.

It's so funny you would mention the pine cone thing. My direct neighbor recently had a huge pine trimmed, so it's very noticable from where I sit in the house. All the pinecones were smooth, but now they are all open. Was it related to the trim or the weather? It did turn recently nice, weather wise.

I agree 100%. An unpopular viewpoint should not make you an 'unperson'. Cancelling has already reached the level of job loss for some people, imagine if you could no longer have a bank account OR any access to money in a fully digital currency society because you didn't believe in whatever the popular ideas were of the time/political party?! It should be horrifying to all sides.

How strange, I just watched this video on Friday, and I was not subscribed to your channel! It was very technical of course, but I still enjoyed it. The only constructive criticism I have is that I found myself repeatedly pausing the video to look at the charts. I don't know how to edit videos, but I wonder if it's possible to leave the charts up longer in future uploads?

It's really dumb, but I grew up in the kind of house that had a rack of very elaborate 'display' towels in the bathroom that were for company only, so I was basically trained from birth to not find this weird. My husband grew up in a trailer in a national forest wearing muddy work boots in the house, so the first time he went to my parents and smooshed up all the guest towels after using the bathroom he was surprised by my mothers reaction to said desecration. Once it was explained to him they were for 'guests', he exclaimed, "Am I ....not a guest...!?" Explaining to him her insane nuances of guests and 'guest-guests' was pointless. He pretended to be A Savage Admist the Tea Party and ravaged my mother's towels every time he used the bathroom for the next twenty years~

Interesting story. Until recently, I assumed that things returned to Amazon (for instance) were just resold, and shipped to someone else, but my in-laws told me they've recently started buying Amazon returns by the pallet in blind sales for a low price. They then make a lot of money reselling because most of it works/isn't damaged. I guess it's just not worth it on a large scale for a corporation, but a good hustle for a couple who live in a rural area on a fixed income.

I grow a lot of things, and seem to have a natural green thumb, but I know almost nothing about the how's and the why's, I just....wing it. I'd love to hear someone explain, though.

But I get canker sores every year from eating slice after delicious slice with salt and pepper, they are the most flavorful tomatoes.

I have not tried this method, but I wonder if I'd need to. I grow the same heirloom tomatoes year after year, and I don't even know their name as I was given the originals from an old neighbor. At the end of each season I just take a full paper towel, squeeze out all the seeds from one tomato - goo and all - into one corner of the towel, then I fold it into a fourth of itself, and write on it with pen. The wet square dries out in my laundry room, and is kept in a cool dark place until I wet the paper towel in spring, and start again.

We were lucky, in a way. The killer (a total stranger at my husband's work place) went on the run from police, and killed himself later that same evening of the murder. He died terrified, alone, and in pain - exactly as he deserved. Nothing but his death would have satisfied me, and so this way we also avoided the nightmare of a trial. See you around Tildes hopefully, I'll be thinking good thoughts for you and your family.
