The $2MM in revenue is a result of the seat they're allowed to occupy, not some magical internal property of their soul.

I hope nobody would think the moderator of /r/HillaryClinton was a leader of Hillary's campaign, or that a moderator of /r/The_Donald was a leader of the GOP.

It's routine to think and talk about lifetimes of major purchases (houses, cars, appliances) where there is going to be some deliberation. In lower stakes situations people might not really think at all. It's in higher stakes situations -- your life, your health and mobility, your relationships, your job or income level -- where it feels better living in an illusion of permanence.

We don't even know whether it was loaded. The cops certainly didn't check whether it was loaded before they killed him.

This outcome would also be avoidable if all gun holders were required to keep their guns locked up separately from their ammunition

You would need a MS in Education not another BA. But yeah it takes years and really is just a pointless sequence of hoops to jump through when you compare what it addresses to what teachers...

On the other hand, that's kind of also what teachers are imposing on the students. The idea that it's possible to separate proof of competence from long-term compliance with "educational" requirements is basically the polar opposite of the ideology of the school.

I think this is common sense and people just have psychological problems that block them from applying it. To acknowledge the lifetime is a form of accepting loss.
