Comment on The biggest political party in America you've never heard of in ~society
MrCheezyPotato Because the votes would be too spread out. 11% vote for A, 25% vote for B, 30% vote for C, 34% vote for D That means D is the most popular, right? Wrong. B could be overall the most popular,...Because the votes would be too spread out.
11% vote for A,
25% vote for B,
30% vote for C,
34% vote for DThat means D is the most popular, right? Wrong. B could be overall the most popular, pleasing more people, but the reason they didn't win is because the 11% of people thought that A was slightly better than B in their personal opinion, but they would have gone with B had they had A not been there.
I hope I'm explaining this well enough

Comment on What if the court saw other rights as generously as gun rights? in ~life
MrCheezyPotato I happened to come across this the other day, and I suppose that, if you think positive rights are a thing, this could have a decent argument in it, but the fact they chose "generous" and stuck it...I happened to come across this the other day, and I suppose that, if you think positive rights are a thing, this could have a decent argument in it, but the fact they chose "generous" and stuck it next to "gun rights" amuses me. Gun rights are not viewed "generously" - Otherwise we would not have things like "Extreme Risk Protection Order" laws.

Comment on Can you guess how popular these policy proposals are among the American public? in ~society
MrCheezyPotato I found it humorous how <30% of people overall support "reparations", yet >70% who support it are black. To be fair, though, were I both black and was not the sort of person who struggles with whether I should take advantage of broken parts of the system for my own gain (thereby indirectly stealing from people, since it's also their taxes that fund it), id probably support it too.

MrCheezyPotato What do you mean? "Men's league" doesn't sound stupid. It sounds like a league that's only for men. What do you mean? "Men's league" doesn't sound stupid. It sounds like a league that's only for men.

Comment on Smartphones that make good use of physical buttons in ~tech
MrCheezyPotato I too prefer physical things, especially considering how I often wear gloves of some sort, however, physical buttons tend to wear out quick, and also it's quite hard to find good phone with them...I too prefer physical things, especially considering how I often wear gloves of some sort, however, physical buttons tend to wear out quick, and also it's quite hard to find good phone with them anyway. So instead i use a phone with permanent touchscreen buttons, that you can see even when the phone is off. I suggest looking at those instead.

MrCheezyPotato Hmm... That might be an issue for me, personally. Probably others, too. It is incredibly dangerous to do this - want to prevent people from participating in government law because of their personal beleifs.
Don't see the issue? Simply reverse it.
"Oh, you don't see any problem with black people? Yeah, sorry, you're not allowed to defend people in court, ESPECIALLY not those filthy negro's"
Giving anyone this kind of power is destined to cause problem - Especially if its mob rule.
