I have SiriusXM in my car and I've noticed that they are trying to drive their subscribers to the website more. They advertise about alternative channels and podcasts and other stuff. I find it incredibly annoying. I assume they want you on their website so that they can scrape metadata. I don't know. I've never visited the website.

I'm glad it (eventually) worked for you. It would be nice if you were given any indication that the request went through. I don't think mine ever did. It's been many days. I don't have much confidence in a product that has this many problems on the registration screen. I know these are new communities and it will take time to work out many of the bugs and quirks. I guess if lemmy ever gets their $h!+ together, then I'll try again.

The creator of my favorite reddit app (RedditSync) says he will be making a lemmy app. So I will eventually end up there.

My partner and I bought a Cuisinart toaster oven/air fryer combo oven and it works pretty well. We still use our regular oven for some foods. When we use the Cuisinart we usually have to lower the temps by 25° to 50°F. The heating elements are so close to the food and the space is so small that many things burn or come out incredibly dry. I do use it for lots of things though. It excels at toasting and reheating food at a lower setting (300° or less).

I can't even figure out how to register for lemmy. Everytime I try, I get the Neverending loading bar. I've made sure that the username I am registering is not already in use. I've made sure my password is 'strong.' Nothing seems to work. I guess lemmy just isn't for me.

    12 Monkeys (2015)
Inspired by the classic blockbuster film, which commemorated its 20th anniversary in 2015, 12 Monkeys explores the provocative story of a time traveler from a decimated future in a high-stakes race against the clock. Utilizing a dangerous and untested method of time travel, he journeys from 2043 to the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will all but annihilate the human race. IMDb: : 12 Monkeys

This show is so great. There are references made to the movie, but you don't need to know anything about the movie to enjoy the show. The show uses time travel but is really about family and found family. The show ends the way the showrunners meant it to. If you watch this show, be sure to rewatch episode 1 after the finale. It will have you scream crying at the television.
