Sargon I don't think it means aggressive mobile integration. I think it means optional motion-based Pokeball throwing/capture techniques, and possibly seeing Pokemon in the overworld as opposed to random...That means potentially aggressive mobile integration and a blocky, tile-based 3DS style world and top-down perspective.

I think it means optional motion-based Pokeball throwing/capture techniques, and possibly seeing Pokemon in the overworld as opposed to random battles - which have fallen out of favor in JRPGs recently. As far as a tile-based world, every mainline Pokemon has had one, even with 360 degree movement technically available.
Pokemon is the biggest franchise of all time. It has made over ten billion dollars more than the next-largest franchise. There is little incentive to shake things up and turn it into something more innovative, and I don't think we're going to see anything more than just a jump in audio/visual quality.
Having a visible edit history a la Facebook would be wonderful.
