hi Pistos - sry so long to respond. hmm.. yea the mini RvR Squid Island does not have enough players because the devs are still working on the right incentives to help players participate. At the moment, all the high level players tend to be in the main warzone. The high levels do visit Squid Island but not in as large numbers as when it first launched.

The fastest way to get into the large map RvR is to have your toon get to about lvl 30-35ish. For a healer (Conjurer class) this is still a useful level and you can set some max level heals to see what the war feels like. Lvl30-35ish is probably about a week's playing, about 2-4 hours a day.

Sorry i took so long to respond :( -- im not sure if you have uninstalled the game by now :/ . Um, if you let me know which realm you are in, I may be able to suggest a faster way to level (maybe I can come help you level by lending you my pet to grind while I am there next to you ingame).

this is such an excellent question. The ISS actually has NASA's latest tech space weaponry, handheld Meson Blasters, and particle rifle cannons, as well as Arcblades. All excellent for the kind of combat you can encounter in case of enemy/alien incursions. All this tech is also being installed into SpaceX's vehicles.

Champions of Regnum. Really fun and endlessly unpredictable RvR open team pvp mmorpg. Very populated and busy, very casual gameplay, easy going yet intense and hilarious community of players who love going to war and all the variations of outcomes.

Earlier i played Magic The Gathering (1997) and various single player Mahjong games in the style of the game as it is played in China/Hong Kong (where you build the walls of tiles)

Just mentioning - while it is not multiplayer, I also enjoy Magic The Gathering (1997). This feels a far superior game to MTG Online or any subsequent iteration of the game. MTG 1997 includes every card up to 1997, which is far more cards than is included in any subsequent iteration. The game is about cards, so MTG 1997 is about 1,000x more fun than all subsequent iterations. Another example of why the neweest and shinest is not that great.

Champions of Regnum. It is in the genre of mmorpgs specialising in RvR open PvP. For me, it seems to be an emerging genre, with only 2-3 others in this click-to-target high-fantasy category. I like it because mmos like this are casual, fun and entertaining. I can drop in anytime i like, and the war may be happening, or it may not. In which case, I go out hunting and invariably find localised battles at bridges and forts or just hunt among the trees. I can also just chill at a fort or central save and listen to the birdsong or snowfall, and watch the war unfold on the map. It's a very relaxing game for me.

Real depth? Go try Rose of Versailles from the 1970s. Supremely intense, and every glance, every eyelash, is full of meaning.

NGE, developer of Champions of Regnum, Bunch of Heroes and the latest Quantum League. While I do appreciate innovative and smart developers such as those listed in this thread, I also appreciate developers who support a project of their passion, and which is in itself, a brilliantly fun and solid game. That game is Champions of Regnum. While some may say it is just another RvR open pvp game, the truth is the number of such games in the entire industry which are actually good, is roughly... 3, maybe only 2. By good, i mean players stay for years and years. Regnum is probably the only RvR open pvp game where players stay for 10+ years, apart possibly from GW2. NGE as a developer has continued to support and develop this game since its inception, and the game itself continues to deliver great fun, and have great potential for even more fun, for all who enjoy RvR open pvp in a fantasy setting.

(i posted this elsewhere also) Champions of Regnum This is an old school RvR open pvp mmorpg in a crisp full 3D gfx style. It's a heavy constant war RvR game across a large map, and its not just a case of running around capping forts. It's a case of large scale battles at each fort. I like it because it is unpredictable because the content is all generated by players. It offers excellent endgame value, that i feel beats its peers such as GW2, DAOC and Return for Reckoning. I feel it is the best value in terms of time and money, RvR mmorpg in the market today. Also, the game has a really unique strong art-style, thematically drawn from latin America. This is really unique amongst mmos--- so I feel when I visit the game, that I am suddenly in a small part of South America.

hm... yea Steam is horribly inaccurate on this game. Most of the playerbase do not use Steam so the reported player numbers is wrong on Steam. Example of fort fights happening several times an hour (its grown 2-7x bigger since): https://youtu.be/xCAmTIhvQYM

    hmmm.. Pros:

    1. Very clean crisp 3D gfx. Possibly lowest cpu spec of all RvR mmos.
    2. Very unique thematic gfx in its own style. This is not a floridly coloured mmo.
    3. Game has a strong rep for forming real life couples in game (in case thats ur thing)
    4. Possibly the strongest rep in the industry for addictive pvp. This game is a powerhouse in fun, puzzling pvp. Even the devs didnt realise it until aftwerwards.
    5. Best endgame RvR, fun per time invested. If you level up a character, you will enjoy the gameplay for years (many players >7 yrs loyal).
    6. Simple clean combat system.
    7. Very casual. Go to war as u like. Sitting in the game and waiting for war is somehow relaxing, peaceful, and chill.
    8. Largest indie mmo in the latin-speaking world. (but still has lots of english speakers)
    9. Devs very engaged and focussed on good pvp, will often chat in their official discord https://discord.gg/khNbbU.

    Cons:

    1. This is not a highly detailed gfx game.
    2. Interface and feel, since it is a custom gfx engine, is somewhat clunky and needs getting used to (compared to WoW).
    3. Some people say it is pay to win because it has lootboxes-- but the devs have been moving away from this for years, and everything you can get in lootboxes, can largely be grinded for by using player kills.
    4. Lamai race looks a bit odd close up -- the argentinian artists were not great anime artists.
    5. Grind was considered a bit long to get to max level and RvR. But just this yr, devs introduced an RvR area where new players can go close to max level immediately and enjoy RvR.
    6. This game does not specialise in PvE or instance PvE quests---- the game does have it, but they are more straightforward compared to other mmos.

Ill try to add more or edit as I can think of them.

Champions of Regnum is my indie pick. It's the largest indie mmo in the spanish/portugese speaking world. It's a specialist open RvR pvp mmorpg, and has a really active warzone with regular 50v50v50+ battles. It's F2P, it's hard to go past its value given other RvR titles cost real money up front. You can also go max level right at the start and join in a new RvR area.
