Haven't tried it yet, but that may help with TLJ and other older adventure games that have trouble with modern systems - they listed TLJ as supported and have a a wiki page for it here.

For what it's worth, when I grabbed the steam link one of the top reviews mentioned a fix for some glitches, not sure if it's one you've tried but may be worth a look sometime.

The other two continue the story if you haven't tried them, and Dreamfall: Chapters was 2017 so it's got a little less of the obvious polygon action going on graphics wise.

Kind of surprising...Maybe it's because adventure games really fell off in popularity, but I never hear anyone talk about The Longest Journey (or the sequel games Dreamfall and Dreamfall: Chapters). Kind of surprising given how much praise it got at the time. It takes place across two parallel worlds - a futuristic cyberpunk version of earth, where the protagonist is from, and a fantasy world of magic. You've got space colonies, talking animals, shady megacorps, a power-hungry alchemist, and bureaucratic red tape. Truly everything you could ever want.
It's still one of my favorite games and gets replayed ever couple years. Great story, compelling world and characters. The graphics are super old now (though I've heard there's an HD mod out there somewhere), and some of the puzzles are a bit out there, but it's still well worth a play through for anyone that's a fan of adventure games and fantasy/sci-fi. I also recommend clicking on everything, there's a lot of world building dialogue in there.

If you're looking for a full all-in-one with text and image support though, you could check out draw.io. I have the desktop version downloaded, but I believe you can use it strictly through the website as well and just save out - it lets you draw diagrams and mindmaps, and there's even an option to turn on floorplan shapes if you want to really get nitty-gritty about it. It's not CAD by any means, but it could help you put ideas together.
We've also used miro boards at work. That's probably a flashier solution, though I can't speak for what their free tier looks like.

Exactly this - it’s the Eternal September issue that seems inevitable with social platforms that grow too quickly. The tricky part is finding the line for what rate of growth is needed (or should be allowed) to meet the demand of new users who want to join without overwhelming the existing culture of the site. If you want to get philosophical - if the culture completely changes, is it even the same site in anything other than name? If Tildes opened up and was overrun by political extremists or low effort memes it would matter more to me that it had radically changed than that it had grown.
Too much new seems to fundamentally overwhelm the dynamic of platforms that allow it - Reddit in ‘09 was a different culture than Reddit in ‘23, and for users who were specifically looking for the experience offered by Reddit ‘09, the growth of the site may be the very thing that ruined it for them. You definitely want new users to come in and engage and feel welcome, but not to the detriment of the existing users who helped build your site in to a desirable place to be. I think Tildes is doing the right thing for now by controlling the stampede, especially while discussions about how growth affects the features of the site are still ongoing. Even with the invite system, as a new user I’ve seen a handful of veterans comment on some noticeable changes the past week.
I’ll be watching from the sidelines to see where the dust settles with all these new platforms and the fediverse as a whole, though. Maybe they’ll defy the odds and come up with a solution.

I'm not terribly prolific, but I enjoy knitting and crochet and would love to try my hand at embroidery one day. Also do some sewing from time to time. I find it's a very satisfying way to both feel accomplished in working with your hands/making something and pursuing a kind of slower fashion/consumption mindset. Helps me cut down on excessive clothing purchases by focusing on one or two things at a time for as long as it takes to finish them (which is usually many months, 'cause I'm a slowpoke). Same kind of giddy anticipation about getting something awesome and new, just stretched way out.
I just finished knitting a wrap top a few weeks ago, so I'm on the hunt for what's next, but I do have an ongoing project on the backburner to use up the enormous collection of plastic grocery bags I amassed from deliveries during the pandemic. I've been slowly making my way through cutting each one up to make a kind of plastic "yarn" and crocheting it into one giant reusable grocery bag. I call it the metabag. Fingers crossed it will finally be done some time this year.

The big change I’ve noticed is Twitter manages to push through some kind of sponsored tweet every now and then that wasn’t actually posted by the account, but those are few and far between (like once a week or two) and easy enough to just delete. But otherwise it works great, I use it to follow breaking news accounts and some for projects I keep up with that only post their updates via Twitter.
It can also grab instagram posts, but without being logged in those are a lot more limited lately. The site seems to restrict you to a certain number of views without an account, and once you hit the limit it times out for a while, so those feeds only update once every couple weeks for me. I think adding a login would fix that, or possibly refreshing your IP address, but so far it hasn’t been a big enough deal for me to mess with.
The first one really is the star of the three, but definitely requires some dedicated time. I enjoyed the other two a lot as well, but tend to agree they leaned a little more into the gaming trends of their time and had a bit less pizzazz for it.
