I also recently switched to Kagi. I used DDG for about 2 years and it was okay. My searches were mainly programming related, and DDG was okay but at times I found myself back on google. It was honestly frustrating using DDG at times, since I felt myself constantly refining my query hoping my answer would finally show up. It never would, and then I’d go to google and it would be among the first results. After switching to Kagi I haven’t had to use google at all. 95% of the time it gives me the results I need. The other 5% is just me not searching correctly :)

I do wish that more regulation of these providers was a thing. It really shows how little these companies have to worry about, when Comcast has been able to implement data caps on internet usage. That doesn’t affect me currently due to location, but it is still something that should not be allowed. And I am sure that problem is just a drop in the bucket for everything else they get away with.

I agree that more lines on poles isn’t a good thing, but I do still believe that areas in the country only having 1 option for high speed internet is an issue.
I know Verizon is just as bad as Comcast, but between the two, at least Verizon offers better upload speeds.

If a local ISP was able to start and gain traction, and offered decent speeds, I would switch to them in a heartbeat. Sadly, that doesn’t exist right now where I am.

I also just got a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV! I am loving it as my commute car for work. I mainly drive on the highway so the range feels lack luster, but I knew what I was getting when I bought it. I feel like my only issue is that it’s not great for long road trips, since it does charge slower.

I wouldn’t mind the prices if it was 1 gbps up/down honestly, but seeing the other prices around the world makes me jealous! I truly wish more competition would appear in my area since Xfinity (Comcast) has a strong hold on the market. Only having one viable company is horrible when choosing an ISP, and sadly it is like this for a lot of the US. The only other options for me are 5G at home internet (my house has horrible cellular reception and since I play online games I cant afford the latency) and satellite.

I have two methods. I use github to sync obsidian between my desktop and my iPhone. I also back up my desktop files to Proton Drive, just as an extra place to save my notes. I would like to find a way to remove github from the loop, but currently this is the best setup for me. And since github is free, it’s hard to beat.

I just binged a few this month.

Steins;Gate: I really loved this one. I know its towards the top of many lists, and I do think it deserves to be there. It really pulled me in, the characters were great, and I would recommend to anyone who hasn’t watched it already, if you like sci-fi/time travel stories of course.

Steins;Gate 0: This was also very good, not as good as the previous season, but was much more slice-of-life for a good chunk. Still, i enjoyed how it went into more details about the crews friendships, and how much Okabe changed due to a major event in the first season. Would recommend.

Heavenly Delusion: This one was something else. It reminded me a lot of Chainsaw Man, but the dynamic between the characters was different. It has two stories being told at the same time, so it jumps back and forth a lot, which at times was annoying. At the end of the first season, it kind of opens things up and prepares you for more, so I will either be waiting for season 2, or will become inpatient and pick up the manga! It covers some dark topics, and a few scenes (especially one specific scene in the last few episodes) can be tough to get through, but overall im excited to see where this one goes!

I have been shooting film for a little bit at this point, almost a year now. I got deep into the Minolta gang, and absolutely love the cameras. I have an X-700, Maxxum 650si, SRT-101 (that i have not used yet due to needing service), and I ordered an XE-7 a few days ago waiting for it to show up!

I only shoot casually, mostly just with a few buddies when we go for a walk or with family. I will also have to check our Glass, since I really dont want to make an instagram.
