exe Same. I used Reddit is fun 4 years before Reddit even had an official app. What Reddit is doing is extortion and pretty upsetting. Reddit is the only social media I've used pretty consistently in...Same. I used Reddit is fun 4 years before Reddit even had an official app. What Reddit is doing is extortion and pretty upsetting. Reddit is the only social media I've used pretty consistently in my adulthood, it's a shame but I can live without it. Everything except the most niche of subs are pretty boring now anyway.

One thing that can be done is careful growth (like is being done now with invite codes) to allow new users to adapt to the curated culture.
I'm afraid that no matter which way you cut it, every single road leads to the same kind of thing. As popularity increases, the social media hive mind becomes more general and less individual. It converges to a unique entity but not really that different from any of the other ones out there.
I have a wide range of disparate interests, from cello to linguistics to programming.
Mostly I'm missing a curated list of specific interests to browse whenever I have a spare minute. Tildes doesn't really fulfill this requirement since the groups are more general
