Comment on What games have you been playing, and what's your opinion on them? in ~games
igniama FF16. I thought LoZ:TotK was going to run away with GotY for me, because that game is full of the type of open world hijinks that you can only really find in the Just Cause games. But then FF16...FF16.
I thought LoZ:TotK was going to run away with GotY for me, because that game is full of the type of open world hijinks that you can only really find in the Just Cause games.
But then FF16 came along and knocked my socks off. The combat strikes the perfect balance of accessible and deep, and the story is Game of Thrones meets classic Final Fantasy anime melodrama, which I am about.
Yeah FF16 is definitely GotY for me, so far. We’ll see how I feel about it after Starfield hits lol

Comment on What is "that part" for you in any game? in ~games
igniama I was having trouble thinking of something until I read your comment. I’ve always hated the magnetic cave in Final Fantasy IV. Dread it every time I have to do it.I was having trouble thinking of something until I read your comment.

I’ve had a record player for way longer, I just didn’t have the space to set it up, and I wanted to buy some premium speakers for it too. Then, I bought a house in 2021 and got the space, but had no records. Now, I’m pushing about 200 and counting (I’ve got a bunch on order/pre-order right now).

I never needed r/all, because if it was interesting or noteworthy enough I would find out about it somehow regardless.

Comment on Diablo 4 is a great PC port - except you need a 16GB graphics card to match PS5 in ~games
igniama Calling Diablo 4 a PC port makes me feel ancient.Calling Diablo 4 a PC port makes me feel ancient.
Two of my favorites are Diablo Swing Orchestra and Submotion Orchestra (the coincidence in their names is not lost on me lol).
DSO blend progressive metal/rock, big band swing, and opera. A perfect example of this is their song, A Tap Dancer’s Dillema.
Submotion Orchestra blends velvet lounge jazz and EDM to make some wonderfully textured music that’s equally chill and mysterious. I’d recommend anything in their discography, but one of my favorite songs is All Yours.
