    I don't know if it will change the way you think but it'll definitely make you think: The first Dune trilogy. I just finished the third book, Children of Dune, but there's a lot of philosophy...

    And how many of those attorneys have or can get the necessary clearance to handle the documents? I don't know if he can actually get just any lawyer off the street.

    Since this is just the arraignment hearing, it isn't a problem afaik. My guess is that if he can't find an attorney willing to work for him the courts will end up appointing him a suitable lawyer.

    There have always been crackpots and authoritarian followers, but the number sure seems to have increased a lot in the last 10 years

    By comparison, LSD has an LD50 estimated to be around 100 milligrams and an effective dose somewhere around 100 micrograms. That's about 1,000x the effective dose. And we don't actually have much...

    And we don't actually have much record of overdoses because the distance is so high. The estimate is based on lethal doses given to mice.

    Aside from my book club which is reading Library of the Unwritten this month (which I really enjoyed), I've been working my way through some of the Dune books. Currently working on Children of Dune.
