Having a brand that markets itself as a status symbol be so predominant in culture causes people to defend the 'less valuable' devices as just as good, or maybe even better, than the measure society values it at.

By default all conversations are stored in plain text on their servers, if one of them is compromised then they'll have access to all your messages. Their encryption standard is homemade and hasn't had proper security evaluation, its impossible to say whether it's really secure or not.
Last of all it really gives me a feeling of too good to be true. They blow the competition away, offer plenty of server space for sending files, constant updates and yet they have no plans for any funding outside of the donations of one Russian billionaire. The same Russian billionaire who made VK, the Russian equivalent to Facebook, which was later seized by the Government.
So many red flags come from the app it just seems unnecessary to use it when there are legitimate alternatives like Wire and Signal.

Nvidea are currently running the beta to their new streaming service. When it works its latency is pretty good.
There was also a failed attempt at trying this years back called Onlive. It failed because they wanted a $30 subscription as well as you to pay full price for the games but it allowed you to play any high end game on any device capable of basic streaming. Worked as a proof of concept even though it failed as a business.
I don't want to type in fdkjgflfjdkhgk.jpg to send a file, I'd rather just select it or drag it. Plus there's no way you'd get any tech illiterate to use this.
