Battlebit Remastered: My friends wanted to play this game with them and for $15, it's pretty fun. The game is pretty much a battlefield clone but without the greed. The servers are active and the community seems pretty good so far. It helps that the devs tell you a million times they will ban you for offensive chat.

I like gg.deals as well. Will usually list any free-to-claim games as the first thing in the "Best Deals" section

If you use the *arrs, you should check out Overseerr for Plex (or Jellyseerr for Jellyfin). Scrutiny and code-server are some other good docker tools

Not that I think it's impossible but most of the current VR headsets don't fill out peripheral vision (aka horizonal field of view). Pimax has an 8K headset that goes to 160° horizonal FOV. For reference the Quest 2 and Quest Pro have visible horizontal FOVs of 97° and 106° on 2K displays (source: vr-compare.com).

I think it's possible for Apple to do improve upon this but they haven't marketed it or put it on any specs lists so I'm leaning towards they just don't compete on that front.

However, I don't think Microsoft gaining Blizzard will help them in the short term. They've said they won't make Call of Duty an Xbox/PC exclusive (for potentially a decade?). I imagine Playstation gamers still make up a huge portion of microtransaction sales

I graduated from a large public university in 2019. I'd probably recommend living in dorms the first year. This kind of forces you to interact with people in the same situation as you and it becomes very easy to make friends initially. There are so many people that feel like after their freshman year it can be difficult to make friends because they lose this opportunity

I haven't used Windows on my Deck in a few months but SWICD would work for a while then it wouldn't. Some games worked fine but trying to play Xbox Game Pass games worked about half of the time out of the box. Steam games generally worked fine but anything outside of Steam was a hassle generally

The ROG Ally is a very strong contender to the Steam Deck. I have a Steam Deck myself and the while Windows can work, it's extremely finicky at times. You might spend longer trying to get a game to work on Windows than actually playing the game. I did play Modern Warfare II with minimal issues though. The touch pads are extremely nice and if you plan on playing games that heavily make use of a cursor, they can be much better than the thumbsticks. All in all, if you want games to just work, you should look at the Ally more. If you don't mind tinkering a little bit for a little more flexibility and support then maybe the Deck is better for you.
