We don’t have to make ours a carbon copy of any other system, rather we should learn from each country’s system to implement one tailored to our own country’s needs.
The main obstacle is the lobbying and propaganda put forth by insurance and pharmaceutical companies. They pose the main obstacle to America pursuing universal healthcare. That and the portion of the population that sees it as America becoming a socialist country. But the reality is that having some socialist programs within capatilsm is the ideal, and in my opinion actually would aid the economy in general. When people aren’t concerned about their healthcare breaking them financially, when they are healthy because they actually can go to the doctor rather than avoiding it altogether, they are more financially sound and robust, and more productive within the capatilist system.

I could have been more thorough in my searching, but I’m still glad I posted because I’m thankful to have had this discussion and am convinced that the mobile site functions well enough that a mobile app isn’t so immediately necessary.
The developer(s) have done well with the site and it’s functionality on mobile.
Once again, I’m sorry to have asked a question that you all are probably tired of seeing. I’m thankful for all of the work tildes has done and I’m really happy to be a part of what I see as something great and something that I hope grows to be a bastion of legitimate free speech and meritous discussion (an even better form of what Reddit was in its early days).
Thank you.

Maybe if there was a statement that there was no plan for a mobile app, or that a mobile app is scheduled to be developed in x timeframe, it would stem the flow of these questions that I have regrettably contributed to.

Is there any kind of timeframe on the release of a mobile app for tildes?
I would guess that on Reddit most of their traffic comes from people accessing the site on their phones at this point, but I could be wrong. In any case, it certainly is a large portion of the users that access the site in this way.
With that in mind, it would be nice to be able to access tildes from a mobile app to do away with the clunkiness that comes with using the site through a mobile browser. I don’t mean to sound like it’s terrible. The site functions well enough through a mobile browser, but it would certainly have me using tildes a lot more if the convenience of a mobile app was available.
I’m sure the developers are very busy, and I don’t want to sound demanding, I’m just curious.
And once again, I apologize if this has been discussed recently.

When I simply questioned someone making the assertation that all but a tiny percent of men are rapists or abusers I saw them come out in droves with comments like “men are trash,” that I was a “rape apologist,” etc. I tried to point out how this language would just create a divide and that some of them knew of me in real life even and that I was obviously not the enemy, they only got quiet, but I think the scariest part is how viciously some people believe in things like this. It seemed like it was almost entertainment to them, tearing me apart, until I managed to prove to them I was a human. Usually hate exists to serve itself in little echo chambers and what we see is just the ice above the water, a scary thought.

I left Magic for like ten years then came back and made a cheap standard deck and had a ton of fun playing it in Friday night magic and against my friends that joined too. The game seems to be very well balanced in standard, at least it was like a year and a half ago.
I ended spending like $70 on many days worth of fun and would do it again in a heartbeat.
New players can have a lot of fun just playing with starter decks with a friend and improving them, they’re not horrible starting points like they used to be.
I’m sure wizards is being as greedy as possible with what they’re charging online, but I think it’s partly because they don’t want to threaten their paper card game too much. If online was obviously and definitely cheaper then they could cause an exodus of paper magic players.
I’ve always been a huge fan of the His Darin Materials series. By book two you find yourself fully engrossed in a magical world that spans multiple dimensions. It’s orobably my favorite trilogy.
