    I respectfully disagree, we're talking about data security and state or corporate surveillance, not a philosophical seminar.
    To a data broker, an advertising network, or a hacker with malice intent, your identity isn't your evershifting arrangement of thoughts but rather a real and concrete dataset (credit card, your facial geometry, or government ID) used to track and deanonymize you.

    Me minimizing that isn't me protecting my soul rather me protecting my concrete data from leaking.
