It’s time for annother edition of our biannual Game Giveaway topics! Share games with the community and get rid of those extra bundle keys you have lying around.
Before you participate, please make sure you read the rules below.
Rules
-Gifters
Post your available games, the platform and method of delivery, rules for your giveaways (e.g. first-come first-serve, random draw, etc.), and any additional info or requirements. Feel free to get creative!
-Giftees
Request giveaways. Please make sure you follow the gifter's posted guidelines.
-Guidelines
Anyone can choose to be a gifter, giftee, or both! Giveaway rules are set by individual gifters, but there are handful of guidelines everyone should follow:
- No grey market keys! Only give away games from reputable sources. If you're not sure what this means, please ask.
- Requests for games should be done in this topic, but if the gift is a key, those should be delivered by PMs only. Please don't post keys publicly in this topic, even obfuscated ones.
If you're new to these, check out previous giveaway threads to see how these usually go.
Hi everyone,
A little late to the party, but I am here to share some game keys! I mostly got these from old Humble Bundles, and usually they are ok to redeem, but sometimes there are issues. (I, for example, finally have a key from the last giveaway for fefellama...sorry about the delay!) If you are interested, just let me know, and I'll PM you with the key(s). These are all for Steam unless otherwise indicated. First come first served, take as many as you want.
We are making excellent progress on whittling down my key backlog! Please feel free to request keys if you are interested, even if you've already made a request.
If you so choose, you may tell me about a sporting/athletic event (in real life or fiction) that you are looking forward to. World Cup is on right now, and Wimbledon starts tomorrow! (I would love to see Karolina Muchova make a good run.)

I've never been to Norway, but apparently there's nothing to do there when it's not wintertime. That can be the only explanation for why perfectly normal young people throw themselves off a diving tower in an outrageous display of defying death in a sport known as death diving. They're doing their world tour now which will stop in Senderland, New Hampshire next week, so there's a lot of cool new videos to watch online soon.
As for my picks, I would like to request:
Keys sent! I had no idea Sting was in Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, I might have to look into it! It's a really interesting game, I don't think I've ever played anything like it.
Wow, I meant to go to bed half an hour ago and got totally sucked into death diving! I watch competitive diving and so I was completely confused what was happening at first, but that is pretty fascinating. Might have to catch the next event online if there's a cast...thank you for introducing me to such a weird sport!
Thanks for the keys! I like it how Sting shows up out of nowhere to flex his acting chops. He was in Only Murders in the Building Season 1 and, while he wasn't great, he didn't have to be great, either.
He was great in David Lynch's Dune, though. So here's hoping his taste in specialty projects pays off this time!
Alas, I'm yet another person who doesn't sports. (Will be watching GDQ next week though.)
At a glance no one has yet requested You Suck At Parking and King of the Castle, can I have them? I don't know when I'll be able to play them, especially King of the Castle which is local multiplayer only, but it looks like something I'd like to try to get some people to play.
Definitely, keys sent! I don't mind if you can't play them right away, they are just sitting in my account not doing anything :) Might as well go to a new account instead!
Enjoy GDQ! I don't think I have the energy to keep track of the runs, and I'm always a bit sad if I can't check in regularly to the marathon progress, but I should definitely check out the tshirts.
Jusant looks fun to me!
As for sports, alas I am not into them. Instead, I'll share one of the few things that caught my interest from the World Cup: Apparently Harry Kane was cursed by a Ghanaian witch doctor to perform a bit worse, and famous psychic Uri Geller has gotten in on the action to remove the curse.
Also to anyone else: I had a blast playing Gotham Knights, and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine has its atmosphere on point, though I couldn't get into it. That opening though was spectacular. (I may need to retry it sometime...)
Key sent! I vaguely knew that people in other parts of the world take the World Cup very seriously...but this is even seriouser than I was thinking.
Thanks for the recommendations, too! I have also played WtWTLW and it can be a bit tedious at times, but it's a unique game and has a really cool art style. I'll also highlight Long Live the Queen, a very in-depth princess sim; Aven Colony, a space colony sim that lets you build alien crops and has some interesting passive exploration mechanics; and I plan to play Sucker for Love, a kaiju dating sim, but I haven't had the time yet :)
I'm interested in this, if you're willing to part with it.
Regrettably, I don't watch any true physical sporting/athletics at all. In the gaming world I'm looking forward to SGDQ 2026 in early July though, as I always watch some amount of GDQ events.
By the way, all 3 links in your Time Sensitive Keys section are linking to the steam page for Artisan TD, including the two games that aren't Artisan TD. Looks like a minor error.
Thanks for letting me know about the links! I updated them, so hopefully they all work now. I would be delighted to get rid of all of these keys, so yes, it is yours!
I love the GDQ events, and some of them definitely qualify as physical competitions! (Whether the rhythm showcases or the 12-hour runs or the 3 am runs...all require a lot of physical effort! Plus the blindfolded ones and doggo ones :) )
Thanks! I redeemed the key you sent me in DMs and it turned out to be for Daemon X Machina Titanic Scion which is the sequel actually, but this is OK as I didn't own either of them. Thank you for doing the giveaway!
True enough, especially rhythm game showcases, like a few times when they've had pump/ddr players do remote runs in recent years, that stuff is mindblowing.
I didn’t know they made Aragami 2, I got to finish the first one at some point.
Hello and thank you! Interested in Bravery and Greed, Rollerdome and Steelrising!
My honest answer is...nothing! I don't follow any sporting competitions at all and I've never attended a live sports match...in my family, sports was just about social capital. People in my family still make an effort to keep up with multiple sports just to have something to talk about with other people in small talk. I don't feel that need and don't have any interest in sports, so I just don't bother!
Key sent! Unfortunately I'm awaiting a restock for Bravery and Greed and Steelrising, hopefully they come through soon. I will send them as soon as they are available to me!
No worries! I know some people are very not into anything sporting related, but often people with have one little thing they like to do (like Frisbee, croquet, minigolf). I respect your lack of interest!
Very happy to wait, thanks again!
Hey, I would be happy to take Marvel's Midnight Suns off your hands. I kept meaning to check it out but just never have and apparently it has now been 4 years...
As for fictional sporting event, I would love to see the Blue Jays get back to the world series this year, but based on how they are currently playing that is obviously a fictional scenario.
Key sent! I know four years is practically ancient history by the standards of modern gaming, but glad that you are still interested. It also comes with a secret DLC that I just found out I also had, so hooray?
Oh dear, Blue Jays. Stranger things have happened! I think the Blue Jays have a better shot than the Leafs, whom I personally believe have cursed all of the other Canadian hockey teams until they win a Cup again...so...it could be worse!
Great, thank you!
Yeah who knows. The Leafs are a disaster and I don't think McKenna fixes that. As for the Jays, if Vladdys bat wakes up then maybe they have a chance to make the playoffs, especially since the AL is so bad this season. But even then, back to back world series runs are near impossible and Schneider is a terrible coach whose team won in spite of him last year.
Whoa some great games here! If no one’s picked Old World, Rebel Inc, and Atomicrops, I’d love to check em out.
As for a sporting event I’m looking forward to: as a Brazilian I have to say the World Cup. The whole country comes to a complete stop whenever Brazil plays in a World Cup. Stores close. Schools get out. Business hours are adjusted as needed. Hoping we finally win our 6th cup. But unfortunately there are some strong teams still in the cup like France and an Argentina.
Keys sent! They're all there this time, so you won't have to wait six months.
Oh, how awesome! I always find it really interesting how some countries get really into the World Cup, especially when they genuinely have a chance at winning, which I imagine makes it much more exciting. It is pretty fun having the World Cup hosted in NA, and I know a few people who have been to games in person, but even though CBC keeps trying to hype up Canadians about Canada's progress, I just can't really get into it. Good luck to Brazil!
Canada is indeed improving! Last World Cup I believe was their first ever, and now this one they’ve made it to the knockouts already. They may not make it past the next round but each little success story inspires a new generation of kids and teens that may lead to more success in the future!
Meanwhile Brazil has the opposite problem where the expectations are so high that anything short of winning the cup is considered a disappointment. So it’s been mostly rough since 2002. Spirits were really high in 2006(current champs) and 2014(host nation), but have lowered a bit in the last three cups. But there’s always a chance!
First off, thank you for sharing!
I regrettably don't watch any sports - I'm mostly going through the Dungeon Crawler Carl books in my spare time lately.
As for the games, if still available I'm interested in:
Batman: Arkham origins, Main Assembly, and Metro Exodus
Thank you again in advance, and have a great day!
Keys sent! These are from pretty way back in my library, but I'm hoping they will all redeem properly. Thank you for appreciating "older" games!
I don't know anything about Dungeon Crawler Carl, but he sounds like an adventurous sort! And he's probably more interesting than watching the Blue Jays or the Red Wings (but maybe not as exciting as the death diving Norwegians)...
Ill gladly take warpips, decenders, and shotgun king.
Im not much one for sports, but I do enjoy watching the fencing events at the olympics. If it counts as a sporting event, I do really love robotics competitions, Ive been both a student and a mentor in FIRST robotics.
Keys sent! I hope they bring you great joy.
Fencing is a super interesting sport, they must do all the lunges to prepare. Saber in particular looks like it requires a particular mental profile, like goaltending in hockey - definitely not a sport for the faint of heart!
I'd take Shotgun King if it's still available! I've been on a bit of a chess binge for the past year or so, and generally love fun little board based video games.
As for a sports event... does Chess count? I go to a chess club at a bar nearby and always look forward to a couple good games over a nice pint!
My apologies, Toric requested the key first, and so I gave it to them.
I think chess totally counts as an athletic/sporting activity! The long tournaments with round robins require a ton of stamina, and blitz requires a lot of quick movements in very short time frames. Especially when armageddon is involved! Not to mention the tactical thinking and planning on top of it.
Whoops, totally missed that - no worries! Glad chess makes the cut for sports, and thanks for doing a give away :)
Let me know if anything else catches your eye!
Thank you for listing so many keys! The sporting event I'm most excited for is the start of college football! I don't care about the NFL, but college is the perfect mix of tradition and excitement. Even when we have long bouts of embarrassing losses, there's still nothing like it.
Key wise, I'd love:
Thank you!
Keys sent! I completely agree on college vs. pro football. I'm a huge CFB fan, even though my team at the moment is on a real downswing, but you can still get incredible underdog stories that aren't really possible in the NFL (like Indiana?! What on earth...). CFB has the best sports memes, in my humble opinion, and there are so many weird, insular little things unique to the sport that make it very special. I always try to watch Iowa vs. Iowa State every year - not because I have any personal relationship with Iowa, or with its teams, nor do I expect that matchup to be good - I watch it because the game will be bad. How often can you say that and have a good time? (At least the punting is always excellent.)
That's a great way to put it! There's so much variance that you really never know what will happen. And for a long time it felt so much less commercial than the NFL. It's never really been true but it felt like they played for the love of the school. NIL feels like it's changed that (probably for the best overall, since the kids should get paid), which is sad. I still love the traditions and the passion though
Could I have Crown Trick, Tomb Raider, and Sucker For Love?
For sporting events, I'm kinda whatever the opposite of a sports fan is, but I am excited to get my copy of The Legend of Korra: Pro-Bending Arena here from overseas, where it's stuck in a storage unit right now. Pro-Bending in the show is so cool, and playing the board game version of it is just as cool, you even get to draft your own custom teams as long as you stick to a firebender, a waterbender, and an earthbender. I've had a lot of fun with it. If the sport were real, I'd probably watch it, too, I suppose 🤔
Keys sent! I did unfortunately already give away Crown Trick to xavdid, who asked first - my apologies.
That sounds like a fun game! It sounds like there's some pretty deep building mechanics. If they made Quidditch into a real-life thing, maybe Pro-Bending is next?!
Thank you for your generosity in sharing these! Nex Machina and Revita have both caught my eye.
For me, everything usually gets put on hold when it rolls around but I wasn't feeling the World Cup fever at all a couple weeks ago. Since then, I've been somewhat persuaded that fans have a responsibility to fight for the purity of the game and not let the corpo-political leeches and bloodsuckers drive us away. So, I'm far behind and I still haven't watched a match live yet, but I am working my way through highlights of all the games and will try to catch up by the round of 16. No spoilers please!
Keys sent! No spoilers from me - I'm not really into World Cup (and if I watched anything it would probably be the women's tournament), but I've caught a few matches lately on my Peacock subscription and it has been fun! The Telemundo commentators are clearly having a blast, and that has made it very enjoyable for me as a casual. I hope you're able to watch a few matches and remember what makes the game so enjoyable, but I totally hear where you're coming from, that corporate greed and bad influences on the sport can make the product much worse (see also: college football (USA)).
Hi, I would like Persona 5 Strikers, please. Thanks for offering!
Key sent - enjoy!
I would like to request Persona 5 Strikers, Long Live the Queen, Colt Canyon, and West of Dead. Thank you.
I saw this last night and was wondering quite long whether to ask for P5S. I played P5R and kept delaying on it. Heard it was very Dynasty Warriors inspired.
Long Live the Queen is a funny CYOA like game, I saw it many years ago, would be pretty interesting to play it myself.
About the events, I don't know if eSports count but for League of Legends the MSI (Mid-Season Invitational) is going on. I never followed such an event before but the teams in all regions internationally have been really competitive so I hope there is constant action from now until the 12th.
Keys sent! buzzkill asked for Persona 5 Strikers first, so I did give the key to them - my apologies. I have played Long Live the Queen and it has a twisty plot and many hilarious ways to die! It's pretty elaborate, I hope you'll enjoy it.
I think eSports should count! Similar to chess, you need a great deal of hand-eye coordination to play the game at that level, and Dota/League require you to be able to play the game well as a team while also reacting to what the other team is doing. It's pretty amazing. Not to mention how some tournaments can have 12+ hour days with multiple matches per day for days on end...it most definitely requires a lot of stamina! I haven't followed eSports much lately, but I hope the tournament is competitive, with close matches and some unexpected victories - I love a good underdog win.
hey there, can I be bold enough to ask for Just Cause 4, Destroy All Humans, Remnant Records, and Windjammers 2. Thanks!!
as for a recent upcoming event, I am not really an sport person, but a massive fan for esports. I am really looking forward to EWC 2026!!
and thanks a lot for the gaw.
Keys sent! eSports are great sporting competitions, even if they're not explicitly athletic: they require a ton of stamina, physical skill, excellent reaction times, and teamwork. I hope you enjoy the event!
Hey I am new to PC games and trying different games to know what gerne interests me most, I would like to Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek it looks like a fun game.
My friends are interested to play following games:
Thanks for reading my post!
Keys sent! West of Dead was claimed already, but the other three were all available. I hope you enjoy PC gaming - it is a different experience from consoles or handhelds, but I find some games are at their best with a keyboard and mouse. Plus all the mod options! I hope you have a great time exploring your options, and I'm sure a lot of people in this thread can make suggestions if you're curious.
Thanks for the games!
also about games its like I have only ever played mobile games, recently bought a laptop therefore trying PC games, I haven't played on Consoles and related devices yet.
Hi! I don't really follow sports much these days, but I guess the next event I'm looking forward to would be the next one I watch with friends or family or the next one in which someone I know is playing.
I'm interested in Astrea: Six-sided Oracles! Thanks for sharing all of these!
Key sent! That sounds like a fun balance - I hope you get to watch a good event soon with people you care about!
If it's still available, I'd take the Guardians of the Galaxy game. I've seen a bit of a playthrough on YT, and it was really well written.
Thanks a lot for sharing! 🙂
Regarding sports: I really enjoy watching Athletics, e.g. World Athletics Championships or the Olympic games. I just love following the stories of the competing athletes, the suspense and drama of the different competitions, e.g. running events or the decathlon/heptathlon competitions. It's always great to see super talented people do their thing, e.g. runs like this one by Femke Bol.
So, I kinda look forward to the World Championship in September 2027. 🙂
Key sent! I hope you have a good time with it. You are doing me the favour by taking it out of my backlog!
Athletics are great! There's so many different kinds of athletes, it's really spectacular seeing all the different types of skills they have. While I do love to watch people who are experts at their specific event, I also love decathlon/heptathlon, because you get to see people who are not at the most elite level for all of the events they do, but they are absolutely amazing athletes. I especially loved the 2024 Olympic decathlon event, which featured some incredible performances - I think my faves were Oiglane's pole vault, and Kaul's javelin throw - he made one throw, yelled "JAAAA", set a new Olympic record, and left immediately. Magical.
Thanks again! 🙂
Yeah, I agree, and it's also super nice to just follow the careers of athletes that you get to know a bit over the years (german public television often includes short interviews with german athletes), and then just be happy for them when they have their individual 'small' successes like entering a semi-final or a achieving a personal best.
Hi,
Can i ask Aragami2 and Strange Brigade :) ?
I played the first Aragami, i'm a sucker for stealth games and I really like it so i'm curious about the sequel.
Strange Brigade... it's because It really seems super intriguing... the '30, the mummies... and should it support the local co-op i am sure i'll have a lot of fun when playing with my son.
What can i say if not.... thank soooooooooooo much :D
Keys sent! I hope they bring you many hours of joy, for you and for your son!
Thanks so much :) I am sure my son will appreciate... And I am sure aragami2 will really scratch my tenchu itch :)
I love these threads! It's always such a warm, fuzzy experience with one of my favorite communities on the internet.
If you don't know, my name's David I review games (and movies & books) over at david.reviews. If we have similar taste in games, you might enjoy following my Steam curator so you can see my reviews on the store pages themselves. If we've got even remotely similar tastes in games, I'm sure you'll find something you like!
I've got a few categories for giveaways this summer. You may ask for as much or as little as you'd like. Everything besides the raffle is first-come, first-serve. I'm traveling this week, so I may be a little slow to send keys, but I'll get to it (and edit the post to show what's been claimed) when I can!
Raffling off 3 copies of a hidden gem
One of my favorite things I've played so far this year is Upalu Mundi, a zach-like game about train logistics (my full review). I'm constantly dismayed that it's got an all-time peak of 5 players and only 11 reviews on Steam. I really wish more people played this. Let's do something about that.
I'm going to gift 3 copies of it to randomly-selected members to the community. But, entering this raffle has a couple of conditions:
In both cases, we're operating under the honor system. I know life happens and there's zero repercussions for not following them. But please only enter the raffle if you at least currently intend to follow the conditions.
To enter: reply to this comment with the name of your favorite train and/or logistics game by June 30th at 11:55pm PT. I'll draw winners on the 1st and connect with you to connect on Steam and send the game.
Everything from here out is first-come, first-serve. Simply ask for what you think you'll enjoy; no limits
Award Winning
These games were all critically acclaimed. The keys expire by December 31, 2026, so make sure to redeem them!

Looks like 4 people entered the Upalu Mundi raffle... but it feels mean to exclude just one person. So I've decided everyone is a winner! I'll get in touch with everyone who entered ( @Eidolon, @Wafik, @fefellama, & @Protected ) shortly to coordinate.
Frozen Synapse is an incredible game. I recommend getting another copy to play with someone who is also interested, as I suspect that the community is probably super-dead (or only consists of hardcore players) by now.
+1 for Frozen Synapse. My favourite feature is the asynchronous turns. When the game came out I had so many random games slowly plodding along with my friends and randoms. I wish more turn based games gave the option.
I mentioned in my list that I have a spare one to gift on Steam, so if anyone is looking for that other copy...
yeah, it's such a fascinating concept! turn based, but simultaneous resolution with incomplete information.
I'm a HUGE Lena Raine stan and so I'd genuinely love Chicory: A Colo[u]rful Tale
sent!
thank you!
The Vale: Shadow of the Crown has actually been on my wishlist for a while now, so I'd appreciate that one!
all yours, enjoy!
Ooo now that I've scrolled down, your hidden gem pick is another top-down tile railway game that seems somewhat reminiscent of a childhood game I used to love called LEGO LOCO, and I've claimed Train Valley 2 in kfwyre's giveaway above. I would be delighted to enter this raffle and indulge my nostalgia! This game also reminds me of Into the Breach - a game I'm just starting to play which I got from the last Tildes giveaway. I love these 'slice' games with compact tactical environments on tiles. Sometimes you just want something you can open up like a board game and not have to scroll.
Thank you for the giveaway and I have just followed you on Steam curators.
Giveaway: entered!
And yes, factorio is the GOAT 😁 Excited to dive in more later this year when the final update drops!
I forgot to answer the question!
Favourite logistics game has got to be Factorio. I've been really enjoying the co-op experience, just hanging out with a friend and distributing tasks, chatting about life while waiting for the next invasion.
I'll join the giveaway.
Sorry for the basic answer but for my favorite logistics game I have to say Cities: Skylines. It's just a fantastic accomplishment of a game.
We're still friends on Steam (I noticed that you dropped a positive review on MapMap, which is on my list. Looking forward to grabbing that later this year!) If I win something that you want me to review and I forget to do so don't hesitate to nag me either here or on Steam.
Giveaway: entered!
And yes, mapamap was great! My wife and I actually played in real life recently. We took off from our home airport but in a direction I didn't expect, so I was trying to figure out where we were. She thought we went north then east, while we usually bank east pretty quickly. There were some fairly distinctive looking waterways out the plane window, so I pulled up the area on google maps and we could match the geography. I was impressed with how well it worked!
Such a fun little concept. And I will probably forget, but I trust you. 😁
I too would love to join the raffle.
That line alone in the game's description sounds right up my alley.
And as for my favorite train and/or logistics game... not sure how much it counts but I'm literally playing it right now in another monitor: Victoria 3. The whole game is basically one massive economics sandbox. So to build trains (railroads in the game) you need engines > and for engines you need steel > and for steel you need iron > and for iron it helps to have coal and tools to speed up the rate at which you mine > and for tools you need more iron as well as some wood too > etc etc etc. One giant logistical production line and that's only scratching the surface.
And separately from that, I wouldn't mind the original Risk of Rain if it's still available! I love the sequel but never played the 2D original.
Giveaway: entered!
And I'll send RoR over. I've got many fond memories of playing it!
Thanks for the give away!
I have had Crying Suns on my wishlist forever. I don't know why I haven't pulled the trigger, so I would love that game to finally get me there.
As for your giveaway, my favourite Train game is The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Kind of feels like cheating to select it, but I loved the stupid train in what is otherwise a forgettable game. I feel like no one ever talks about it anymore, but I loved that damn thing. I recall an early conversation with my then girlfriend, now wife, about why the game was so good. I convinced her to play, which lasted about 10 minutes because she thought the train parts were stupid. Oh well, I still love the game and I married her so I guess not all bad.
Giveaway: entered! and game sent!
And that's a great answer! I never played it, but it's a fun way to approach the question. 😁
I'm probably like the only person who remembers that game let alone likes it and really the only game I could think of involving trains.
Hello, I would like to request any of the following games.
sent!
Could I get the Ghostrunner 2 copy? I loved the first one. Thanks!
All yours, enjoy!
Could I get IMMORTALITY, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, Popup Dungeon, and Yooka-Laylee, if they're still available? Thanks so much!
sent!
hello, can I get Shing! It looks really fun and I think I'd rly enjoy it.
all yours!
I'll give Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery a go! I've heard good things and I tend to vibe well with arty games. Thanks for offering these!
all yours, enjoy!
Thank you!
I would love to take OlliOlli of your hands!
you got it!
Cheers, appreciate it!
Late request, but I very recently discovered that I have Samorost 3 but not 1 or 2. Do you by any chance still have the Samorost 2 key, and if so, would you be willing to share? Thanks a lot!
I do! I'll send it over
Many thanks! The art style looks really cool, I'm looking forward to playing it.
Ah, I still have my AYN ODIN 2 laying around, for whoever wants it, for free: https://tildes.net/~games/1rso/tildes_game_giveaway_holiday_2025#comment-gz94
Since it's not christmas time anymore (no queues to wait for at the post office) I'm happy ship it this time, as long as it's in europe (I don't want to deal with customs forms).
I'm kinda collector of gaming hardware at this point - I have GBA SP, 2x PSP, PS Vita, Switch Lite and Steam Deck (and standard desktop PCs). I never had anything like what you have and I feel tempted to jump on the occassion. The thing is I will not use it THAT much and I don't want to pick it up if there is someone better suited for your giveaway - someone who will really use the thing everyday.
If nobody takes your offer in some reasonable amount of time and you are ok with me not playing really actively on it and getting it more or less to see what it is and how it works and playing on it once in a year, maybe send me a PM? I'm your neighbour - Czech Republic. We could figure out how to send it later.
Thinking about it, my kids may play on it or one of my friends, who is actively playing on his PSP these days, may like it (he doesn't have a big console or suitable PC to.play games).
Anyway - if there is anybody better suited for it, give it to them.
I don’t consider OEM/Official hardware when I count these kind of devices.
I got something Similar to the Odin 2(Retroid Pocket 6) and it’s a neat one.
I would emulate on it rather than a SteamDeck where reasonabe, because the wattage the SteamDeck can sometimes use during emulation can feel like overkill. Plus some of these devices can run PC games reasonably well, provided you keep your expectations in check.
I come from time when Morrowind didn't run on many friends' PCs and when it did, it was far from even 30fps, yet 60. My expectations are lowish, compared to today's standards.
I would also emulate on something lower power than Steam Deck, not only because of wattage, but also because of size. It's easier to have PS Vita in your pocket than Steam Deck.
I just mentioned those official hardware to say that I have history with handhelds. I never justified to myself buying dedicated retro/emulator machine like Odin - it's simply too much money for emulating old games. And I could play those games on other hardware I already have. Because I never had anything like Odin, I'd like to have a look at it. But as I said - if there is someone else who would really actively use it, then I'd prefer that person to have it.
:)
works for me. I just factory reset it, so if you give me an address I can send it to you. Might take me a few days.
Thank you. If you don't mind, I would give a few days for anyone else to take the chance and if nothing happens, I will PM you.
Sure, up to you. No worries either way :)
Two days later, no change. I will PM you my address and we'll figure out the details. Thank you!
I'm coming back to publicly thank GOTO10 for unbelievable kindness and sending me the AYN Odin 2 Mini and I'm attaching image as proof: https://imgur.com/a/cASDFny
Thank you very much!
I haven't been diligent with my Steam key bookkeeping, which means I didn't log expiry dates for a lot of these. As such, some of them might not work. Hopefully they do though!
Keys are first-come, first- served.
You may request up to 4 games. However, you may request up to 8 games if those extra ones are games you plan to give away to someone else. It doesn't have to be here -- it can be for friends or family or a Discord server you're part of, etc. Also you don't have to prove you're giving them away, I trust you. This giveaway has entered FREE FOR ALL MODE. No restrictions.
Please do not be shy about requesting. These games will simply expire otherwise!
Optional: Tell me why you're picking what you are. I'd love to know what interests people about their particular choices.

Also, for fun and to help send out more keys, I will generate a random number for each giveaway and that person will receive whatever key is on that line of my spreadsheet. So you'll get a bonus random game with your requested games!
Update: We're at 12 games left!
As those who requested in free-for-all mode learned, I lied about everyone getting a bonus game. Instead of one, they get TWO! That offer still stands until all the games are gone.
Can we get it down to 0?
Here we are at the end of the week after free-for-all mode has been enabled, and it's interesting to see which games are the last ones remaining. But being far from the runts of the litter, I humbly submit to you that these games should have been snatched up days and days ago.
These are my final selections for games I would like, along with a short explanation as to why everyone was wrong to ignore these games (myself included, on the first pass) that I admittedly haven't played:
Grapple Dog: Easily a 7/5 indie game. This one I already know about since I've followed it progress a bit. But just consider: There was a time when video games had to be good. They came in genres that demanded good gameplay and playability. They could not depend on fancy cutscenes with bleeding edge graphics. The game had exactly 30 seconds to achieve enough addictiveness to last you through a weekend rental from Blockbuster, or else it suffered poor word-of-mouth at the schoolyard. And, it had to have a name that explained its premise, main gameplay mechanic, and protagonist... in just two words. This is to say Grapple Dog is that game, and it didn't deserve to be left as the last few games on this list.
Bloodshore: I am not a fan of FMV games. I had a bad time with The Shapeshifting Detective, despite its interesting premise/gameplay mechanic/protagonist. But it should not have been left to the end. That's because this game looks to occupy the unsafe zone between "bad" and "bad but enjoyable" that videogames fear to tread. Like, the lighting is atrocious, and the non-star-status actors--three of whom are given star billing--deliver stilted performances. And yet, the undeterred production shoots in multiple locations, equips its actors in TV-ready guns and costumes, and fill out the action with added special effect explosions. It's a FMV video game that can't decide if its good or bad, necessitating a verdict that got passed over in this giveaway.
If there's time for one of my unsolicited controversial video game opinions, I opine that video games won't mature as an art form until its bad examples can be just as accepted and celebrated like the rest. Like the way there is a community/market for films that are objectively bad. But instead, gamers thumb their nose at the slightest inconvenience, proffering thumbs down review if a game ever has the audacity to crash, lose their save progress, or have one minor thing they find disagreeable. See, the thing about B-movies (and other letter grades) is that they're meant to be that way; their audiences enjoy them for what they are. There are no B-video games, only games you like and the unplayable trash you don't.
The reason for bringing this up here is that I want to find that game that can straddle this line. Maybe Bloodshore can be it. If I get this game, I feel as though there is a future Backlog Burner awaiting it.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York: I don't like the vampire genre (there's probably a theme going on here); I find it prissy and preening. Immortality is a device used to prolong petty grudges, apparently. But this game is definitely worth checking out, if for no other reason that to see what they've done with the follow-up to one of the most interesting RPGs ever made, one with depth you can usually only discover by reading about it, rather than playing it. But a generation has passed since, one that has experienced the popularity of Twilight, Blade, and one half of the Metroidvania subgenre. This series needs an update, it likely has a lot to say, and it should have been snatched up long ago.
I'll bite.
For me:
Space Pilgrim Academy Year 1 - This is installment 5 of 8, and I have Episode 2 in my library and it's on my space games 'to play' list. I'm interested because I like mini story games that are light on combat and puzzle mechanics. I tend to play games like this between big games, as something of a circuit breaker.
Heroes of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 3 - As with the above, this is another episodic game (6/6 I believe) and I have the base game from a previous giveaway and from what I've read it's a very short game (5 hours max). I have a feeling that I'll probably want to continue through the series. Visually it reminds me of Age of Empires II before the Castle Age, it's very nostalgic for me!
For friends:
Resident Evil Revelations: For my friend who loves horror survival games but is gaming on an old laptop.
Conarium: For my friend who is an aspiring game dev and digs anything Lovecraftian.
Many thanks again!
I'll take Kamikaze Lassplanes and The Adventure of NAYU then if no ones taken those yet, thanks.
hey, since you really need to get rid of them, I'll happily take a few more if am not being too rude here.
Can I have, Polylithic, Pumpkin Jack, Roto Force, Rustler, Isle of Jura, Conarium, Skábma snow fall, Rock of ages? Thanks a lot for the gawz, really appreciate it!!
Alright how about Defense Grid and Inertial Drift then. Thanks as always!
Edit: and if no one else claims em, Yoku’s Island Express, Warpips, and Behold the Kickmen all look interesting in their own ways, especially on the steam deck.
Thanks for doing this.
I will ask for Eternal Edge + and Chroma Squad, if nobody else will take them.
Damn, kfwyre! What a list!
I’m interested in Monument Valley and Sonic Frontiers. Thank you!
FYI your Stunt Paradise link points to the wrong URL. I didn’t check all of them but did notice that.
ETA my reasons for those picks: Nostalgia, mainly. I’m an old-school fan of Ron Gilbert’s point-n-clicks (see the Secret of Monkey Island CGA I hosted awhile back) and 2D Sonic platformers. I haven’t been wowed much by Sonic since, well, I guess Sonic Adventure 2 (excepting the fantastic Sonic Mania) but the open world concept in Frontiers looks interesting and I’ve been curious about it.
Edited, again: Derp, I was thinking of Thimbleweed Park when I saw Monument Valley but I recognized the name because it’s another title I’ve been interested in. Oops! My request stands, lol.
PM sent!
Also thanks for the heads up on the wrong link. I don't really use AI for anything, but I thought giving it a list of games and asking it to find me their Steam links was kind of a slam dunk task that would save me a lot of time.
You prompted me to go back and check each one, and it turns out that probably 1 in 3 was wrong. Shame on me for trusting the AI output without verifying it, right? I ended up spending about as much time checking and fixing things than it would have taken me to just do it myself.
Mind if I take Core Keeper? Thanks! For anyone reading this, Core Keeper has been returned to the giveaway list.
It didn't activate in ricewind's region. That could be because of a region block, or it could simply be expired.
Hey I'll take Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Steamworld Build if you don't mind. Both have been on my wishlist for a while but never got around to it.
Steamworld I just like all their games, solid 8/10s all of them. And Assassin's Creed well I'm about to have surgery tomorrow on my knee and won't be able to move much after that so it might be a nice thing to play on the Steam Deck for the forseeable future haha. I like other Assassin's Creed games and they last a long time so perfect timing for me I guess.
Edit: after looking some more through the list, Card Hog looks pretty cool too. Love me some roguelike deckbuilders!
Valhalla's surprisingly good, I've logged many hours in that one myself. Never finished it, actually, I got lost in all the side content.
Ha same experience I have with a lot of open world games! I've played Origins before and absolutely loved it, but I think that may have mostly been my love for history, as that Ancient Egypt setting was top notch. (Seriously I read a book on Ancient Egypt before starting the game so I could get more immersed). I've been interested in checking out Odyssey and Valhalla ever since.
I loved Origins too! Nobody ever talks about that one but it was great fun. Both Origins and Valhalla have educational modes, more like a museum exhibit than a game, where you can explore the region with all the combat removed and learn some history. I give props to Ubisoft for adding that completely unnecessary content. It's not something anybody asked for but they did it anyway. It shows off the care they took in researching these eras and recreating the real-world environments digitally.
I might be wrong but I don't think the other Assassin's Creed titles included anything like that.
YES! I loved that educational mode. It's like a director's commentary version of a DVD except with neat little tidbits and fun facts about the Pyramids at Giza or the Great Sphynx or something. I remember a long time ago reading (or watching?) about how they 3D scanned and mapped Jerusalem or Damascus or wherever it was for the original Assassin's Creed, all the way back in like 2006 or 2007, and being really impressed with the level of detail.
Side note but this is why I LOATHE the modern-day portions of the Assassin's Creed games. Like in the first game it was tolerable for me, since I felt like it was leading up to something, but in every game since it has just felt like a complete slap in the face. "Oh I see you're fully immersed into this beautiful historic setting we've meticulously created..... would be a real shame if we completely took you out of that immersion to show you some scrawny white dude being pursued by some evil company in Detroit or whatever".
Like imagine a Skyrim where randomly you just wake up and your character is on a spaceship and being the Dragonborn was just a big dream. Or Red Dead Redemption but periodically you just wake up in Ancient Rome for some reason. Completely immersion breaking! /rant
Honestly this is an old grudge of mine that I guess I've gotten over... but the lore and worldbuilding of the Animus and the present-day search for lost historical secrets in the first few games was amazing. Particularly the Ezio trilogy. I was a huge fan of that. And then AC3 completely lost the plot. It set up a lame meme-y 2012 Mayan calendar apocalypse threat, failed to resolve anything meaningfully, and painted the franchise into a corner that it couldn't proceed from.
Ever since then it's been a weird mishmash of concepts that don't really cohere. More vibes than story. I haven't played all of them but I remember being especially annoyed by Rogue (the weird Black Flag spin-off that released on previous-gen consoles at the same time Unity came out for next-gen ones). Origins was effectively a series reboot, not in terms of lore but it changed a lot of the core gameplay loops and mechanics, and added skill trees and light RPG-style progression. I like most of those changes tbh, though I miss the old-style parkour which was slower and more strategic. Anyway the present-day elements have really been sidelined and they basically just pay it lip service now so they can still justify the Assassin's Creed branding. I'd love a return to the mystique of the early series but I'm mostly okay with that if it means no scrawny white dudes in Detroit.
Hah these were the two games I was going to ask for, so if they don't work in fefellama's region then I call dibs ;)
Oh man I'm sorry about that, how bout we split them then? Would you mind if I had Valhalla and you took Steamworld Build? I only ask because I know my wife is a big Assassin's Creed fan, so I'm sure she'd love to play that as well.
No no, all good. I have gotten so many free games from these give aways I definitely don't need more. Someone else just couldn't activate a different key in the thread so I figured I would put my name in the hat if they didn't work for you. First come, first serve. Hope you enjoy them!
Can I have Tempest: Pirate Action RPG and Mordheim: City of the Damned?
The reason is that both games are the ones that I tend to like and the settings can be really interesting. And Warhammer is something that I like.
For my selections, I would like to present them as menu items:
I would like to begin with The Stillness of the Wind as the aperitif. As you are already aware, my tastes favor bold and impressionistic choices, lending credence to the sly suggestion that I am a sucker for the pretentious. I feel that the stylish use of pastels and wide, negative spaces that connote loneliness will whet my appetite for the ensuing discussions we'll be having during the after-dinner brandys we call the next Backlog Burner.
Next, I have chosen Planet of Lana as my starter. In keeping with "style over substance", I feel as though this starter will bring an earthy rhythm to my meal that evokes INSIDE and LIMBO as much as hot air can do. My appetite for whatever these pot toking, tie-dye wearing, electric-car-driving art grads can output can not be satiated.
And, for the main course, I have selected Hellslave, a dark fantasy dungeon crawler that challenges its audience with its shadowy shank of gamey gameplay. I think, given the previous selections, that at this point the dinner will be at just the proper ambience to handle making pacts with the devil to fight back a demon invasion.EDIT: Not taken, already in my Steam library. Please, won't somebody give this game deserving of your love a worthy home. And, to properly complement this meal, I have chosen Golden Chambers as the accompanying beverage. I see that your cellar is running a little low on weird selections, but in lieu of any far-out suggestions you may have, this bug-out, lawless, amoral Wild West shootout will pair with my meal just fine. I feel it has just the right amount of gibs and chaos to properly bring balance to this meal.
And, if it's okay, I wanted to give some recommendations on your list that deserve playing.
environmentally conscience game it deserves. Big vibes here, very chill.
Seconding the recommendation for Yoku's Island Express (the only one of the above I've played). I got the game from @kfwyre at a previous giveaway and reviewed a first impression at a Backlog Burner. This year, I picked up the game again and couldn't stop playing it and have now finished it completely. A gorgeous world with polished mechanics and totally adorable characters. Really impressive for the studio's first game.
spittake First game?! It's such a mature and polished offering. You'd think this was the crazy idea they had in the back of their minds when they were grinding out their first few games, but never had the chance to finally pull it off.
I'll have to repeat myself: It's a pinball metroidvania about a dung beetle working as a postal worker. Man, I have got to play this game again.
Oh yeah, and they even developed their own engine - this article is worth a read.
slow clap
From the article:
Cocaine and hookers mean nothing to this guy.
This article was published ages ago, so it's not talking about the current Indiana Jones game.... except, as it turned out, this same guy would be hired years later to design the currently well-received Indiana Jones game. mindblown
I'm so in awe that I will follow his lead and use the term "open-world pinball" to describe Yoku from now on.
Andro Dunos 2
I suck at shmups but I like to play them from time to time.
Could I request Core Keeper? Thank you :)
I'll be pleased to receive some keys, although it feels wrong and weird and I can't promise I'll play and/or enjoy the games!
All games come with NO obligation to either play or enjoy them, no worries!
And don't feel bad. Many of these keys would likely expire otherwise, so it's better if they go to good homes.
Greetings! I would like to request the following:
The Falconeer: Revolution Remaster
New Star GP
Ampersat(I forgot I already had this one!)Immortal Hunters
Thank you for doing this.
Always appreciate you doing this :)
I would love the DOOM combo, if it's still available! I've been meaning to give them a real try for a while now. Thanks!
Evoland Legendary Edition, Time Rift, Crysis 3 Remastered, and Squirrel With a Gun all interest me, if they're still there! Time Rift I'd never heard of before now and just looks like a fun premise, whereas the other three, I've heard good things from friends.
Thanks for your time and for what you're doing!
Wow, thanks for offering so many keys! I would love your copy of The Haunted Island (Frog Detective Game), and Mini Settlers, if they're still available. I started a new job relatively recently and so I've found that shorter, less complex games are great for my after-work brain, after I get home and I'm too tired to do much before bedtime. I really like the art style of the Frog Detective games, and I love sim/management games, so Mini Settlers looks like a fairly straightforward version that won't break my brain after work :) Thanks again for your generosity!
I'm interested in Dark Deity
It's an indie Fire Emblem-like, from my understanding, and I'm interested to see how they approach that, where it differs and where it's alike. I'm not currently aware of whether it's aligned more with the older era or newer era of FE or splits the difference in some ways. But generally speaking it's a genre I like, so I expect I'd enjoy the game.
Thanks kfwyre!
EDIT: received and was able to redeem this key.
As usual, blown away by your giveaways!
A few for me....
Train Valley 2 - I was recently feeling nostalgic for an old abandonware game called LEGO LOCO from my childhood. It's a rail placement game where you set down the pieces and the town emerges as you connect things and expand the network. I still plan to try to get it to work on Linux or try the new 'OPEN LOCO' fanmade remake, but Train Valley 2 also looks kinda similar, albeit more complicated and with actual resource management! It's pure nostalgia, but having some modern games that feel like spiritual successors for extremely niche games from one's childhood is kinda a neat little sidequest collection to aspire to in one's game library.
Din's Curse - Just wow. WHAT is this game?? It looks like a blend of Diablo and an early 2000s Western MMO...from 2010?! I love finding odd little games like this and just going in blind. Yes please.
Bee Simulator - I have a special interest gaming research project in animal simulation games - kinda preliminary stuff for thinking about ideas for a project of my own! I have a particular interest in the simulation of embodiment and how games have handled scale when you play as a small critter.
I have a couple in mind for friends but I will write later as I have to go cook!
Hi,
Uhm... i'm pretty curious about Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo, it sat in my wishlist for ages but i have never managed to buy it because... there was always something juicier.
Can i try it :) ?
If no one else claims it, Ill take VTOL VR off your hands. I dont have a VR headset yet (hopefully the steam frame is reasonable, otherwise VTOL on linux is just a pain), but I do have a friend who loves co-op flight sims and would be estatic if I was able to join him in it.
Hey, a bit late to the party :)
Can I request for SuchArt and Fargone?
I would like to give SuchArt an attempt to revisit my artistic spark I had, and Fargone personally looks really relaxing, would love to give it a shot.
Thanks in advance!
Gotta admit, it feels a little weird to ask when I'm also burning the backlog, but I'll do my best to play them this and next week!
Here Comes Niko!: 2D sprites with a 3D setting kinda give me that Paper Mario nostalgia? It also looks so adorable and the "explore and make friends" premise reminds me of other island exploring games like A Short Hike and Lil Gator Game, though this one's calling itself a 3D platformer instead. I also would really like something comfy right now.
Hot Brass: Steam recommended this to me. I'm not good at these SWAT-type games and it often boils down to locate the targets, flashbang, yell to get down and use less-lethal weapons, arrest, and repeat. The steam reviews also mention that this game is not balanced around solo play. On the other hand, I just think breaching looks cool like in Tactical Breach Wizards and XCOM: Chimera Squad. I also like advancing with a shield for that invincible juggernaut feeling (and also think spears are cool for their reach but that's besides the point).
The above two are what I'm interested in. The next two are very much "well if no one else is picking these and the keys need to be used". I honestly could wait til the end of the giveaway to see if anyone else wants them instead.
TombStar: It looks like bootleg Gungeon and the demo plays like bootleg Gungeon. I have played a lot of Gungeon though, so I expect to treat this like a lazy podcast game while clearing it.
Tower of Guns: Well it's comparing itself to Isaac mixed with Doom 2 in its store description which is a pretty bold claim.
Since you're drowning in keys and having trouble giving them away, I'm morally obligated to take a few:
Interial Drift - you guys sold me on that big booty car sliding game
Skabma – Snowfall - this seems like they've worked really hard on world building and atmosphere and use the game to explore culture. It seems very promising
Tin Hearts - seems like a 3d lemmings with an accompanying narrative. I have a feeling the story will be a sad one. Might be a hidden gem
Re:Fresh - sometimes you just need a cute, no stress 3d nice platformer.
Pumpkin Jack - sometimes you need a scary 3d platformer
My role as kingmaker has gone terribly, succeeding with just 1/5 of my recommendations. But no love for Yoku? Nobody wants the game made by the same guy who would go on to make Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? Do you all have it already? Is it because I mentioned it has to do with dung beetles? (the graphics are realistic, but not that realistic).
I can not believe my effluent glazing of this phenomenal game has not resulted in someone requesting it. One of you should be rewarded with the transcendence of this truly remarkable work of digitized pixie joy. Until someone does, I refuse to ask for anymore games from this bountiful list and its generous benefactor, something unbecoming of the lascivious Steam floozy that I am. If no one does, I will request it for myself whenever the giveaway ends. It's going to have a good home, one way or another.
You'll be glad to know that Yoku's Island Express has been claimed! As have the rest of your recommendations (though some went as random bonus games). I like to think that nobody was taking it because everybody already has it and knows how amazing it is.
The only one that remains on the list now is the second copy of Golf Club Nostalgia.
Also, you'll be glad to know that THREE separate people all requested
Inertial Drift*Big Booty Car Sliding Game.Huh. This feeling washing over me... something like blessed relief... and yet hollow disappointment... over my lame, feeble attempts to manufacture fake drama for fun.
I'm glad for you, Yoku. You get to go to a proper home and finally be appreciated as a proper entry to the open-world genre. You've grown up so fast. straightens collar
I am compelled to look after all my recommendations, so here is (another) plug for Golf Club Nostalgia:
As for me, I think I need to confront my hubris and be more respectful of this giveaway. I'll wait until the closing of this giveaway before making anymore requests; other people should have a chance. Thanks again for hosting the giveaway, @kfwyre.
I was one of the chosen two. I am not in any sense nostalgic for golf, in fact I think I do the sport a service by actively avoiding it. I say this as a person who has been banned from multiple mini-golf courses for endangering the public, enraged greenkeepers by driving fat cubes of mud, flagrantly violated club dresscodes and strained valued friendships after losing one too many balls. So a totally virtual, unpeopled, buoyant post-apocalyptic wasteland might just be the kind of golf - indeed perhaps, the only kind of golf - that might be permissible for me. I look forward to playing this and one day reviewing on Tildes <3
I just wanted to say: I'm glad that no matter what you do, you do it looking good. Or not. Or whatever you chose to wear. What matters is: I am a third party with indirect, non-specific knowledge of the incidents.
Greetings kfwyre, I would like to have Tools Up! and Tiny Life, I love playing indie and cozy games like Tiny Life.
Also one of my friend is interested in playing Resident Evil: Revelations
Thanks for reading my post!
I didn’t want to take too much considering I will likely leave them in backlog but
Aaero 2 seems interesting.
Could take Inertial Drift as well.
Space Freeks mostly to put alongside the other W40K games in the Steam family library.
Hey there kfwyre, I'll happily take Butcher and Hellslave off your hands if they're still available! Butcher in particular has been on my wishlist for a while :)
Note: Expiring Steam keys are now
standardcommon. That means this giveaway is a GREAT excuse to give away any extra keys you have, because they'll otherwise just go away (most keys now have a 12 month lifespan, but many are shorter than that).
However, it also means that some people might get gifted keys that have already expired. Please be understanding if that happens to you.
Whaaaat? Since when? A cursory internet search isn't yielding reliable info.
Humble’s been doing it for a while now — maybe a year or two? GMG has done it for some of their stuff, and newcomer Digiphile only has a 90 day window.
Saying it’s “standard” might have been overselling it a bit, as thus far Fanatical hasn’t given me an expiry dates when I buy from them. “Common” is probably a better descriptor.
I got some keys from humble. The only rules are:
Construction Simulator
OshiRabu: Waifus Over Husbandos
Night Cascades
Just Deserts
KARAKARA
KARAKARA 2
Memory's Dogma CODE:01

Favorite game music: Prodeus. It's like as if you bought the newest Radiohead album and played all ten tracks at the same time.
PM sent!
I've been wanting to play INDIKA! I don't know if it'll work, since I do live in SEA but I have a US Steam account. I'd be happy to try if you are, though.
I also love the look of Seabed, always up for intriguing stories full of queer women.
As for my favorite video game music, that's such a tough question, since I love so many. I've been playing Deltarune recently and the music for that is truly iconic. I also really like the music used in the Project Moon universe, Mili consistently puts out banger after banger for them, all very relevant to the story and capable of making me cry every time.
PM sent! Hopefully INDIKA works.
I've been meaning to pick up Starbound for a while now.
My favorite game music would probably be the soundtrack of Katamari Damacy, Warframe (literally goes from 1990s style boyband pop song to sea shanties), Dragon's Dogma, and Dragon Age: Origins.
PM sent!
Some nice games, thank you for the giveaway! I'd take Trombone Champ off your hands.
Do I have to pick one favorite videogame music? How about... the Zombies Ate My Neighbors soundtrack? (Answer might be different in another day.)
PM sent!
Hey I wouldn't mind checking out Hellclock, The Witness, and The Riftbreaker.
As for my favorite game music, there's so many to choose from! I'll always feel a ton of nostalgia for most of the original GB and GBA Pokemon music, gens 1/2/3. Also Katamari Damacy has one of the best sound tracks in any game, so much so that I regularly listen to it despite having never actually played the game!
PM sent!
I'm interested in Overlooting! I've played so many it's hard to pick, the first thing that came to mind is the music for the arcade shmup Viewpoint.
EDIT: I would actually have to say the music from Castlevania! 3 in particular, the japanese version of the soundtrack, is fantastic! But Viewpoint is still up there.
PM sent!
Thank you!
I'd like to request SuperHot if it's still available.
My favorite game music? Easy enough by franchise, Sonic. Specific game? Really hard, nearly every game has an insane OST. Depending on the day, it would be either Sonic CD, Adventure 1, Adventure 2, or Frontiers.
Great choice, Superhot is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!
PM sent!
Thanks so much for sharing! I would love your copy of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, if it's available!
That's a great question! I have a few favourite soundtracks: the Katamari soundtracks are amazing, as is Fez, Rayman Origins, the first Life is Strange...I have more, but those are probably at the top.
PM sent!
Received, thanks again!
I would like to request Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Blackberry Honey and WORLD END ECONOMICA, thank you.
Here's my Game Music: Atelier Lulua OST & this one track from Sen no Kiseki 3

I don’t really play games these days. Give me something, your choice.

I've got a few games sitting around in my Steam inventory. I suspect anyone who might be interested in these has them already, but if you want any or all of them, they're yours:
Portal(/u/Protected)Trine Enchanted Edition(/u/radius)You know what, it's funny for all kinds of reasons, but I don't actually seem to own Portal on Steam (I don't even remember where I played it, so long ago it was). If no one else wants it I'll gladly take it. But if anyone has never played Portal and wants to play, I will gladly yield to them.
Great! You're first to ask, so you get to choose when you wish to claim it.
This was a triumph, I'm making a note here: huge success
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction!

Such a quotable song! And part of the fun of being a parent is getting to use that particular line (and some of the others) on my kids. :-)
Fun personal trivia: for my birthday this year, I chose a Black Forest cake from the local bakery chain that inspired Valve. And yes, it was delicious and moist.
hey, can I possibly ask for Trine? Thanks :)
Hey everyone, back with keys! This took a bit longer than planned. (EDIT: .......something very bad and sad just happened. Deleting the original text because.... FUCK.)
ANYWAYS! I return with many keys! Most of them are the same as the last giveaway. I literally copied and pasted the list, removing the claimed keys, and am trusting I didn't miss anything. So no particular rules this time. First come, first serve! Though optional: tell me the weirdest or craziest game you can remember playing. Or the one from your childhood that feels most like a fever dream.
Starting off with keys with a time limit!
Old keys from kfwyre! Whether they work is pretty up in the air. I think after this round, I'll just remove them from the giveaway list.
American Fugitive
Nuclear Dawn
Pushover
Reventure
Super Panda Adventures
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
Humble Keys Expiring September 30th! So last chance!
Warpips
And the main list!! All from Fanatical so presumably don't have a time limit.
Aeon Drive
Animal Rescuer
Conarium
Do Not Feed the Monkeys (NOTE: I gave this one to BailerAppleby originally who couldn't redeem it, but later discovered it was in their library. So... it may work after all!)
Don't Touch This Button
God’s Trigger
Monster Slayers
PAGO FOREST: DRAGON’S REVENGE
The Last Federation
The Tenants
We Were Here Expedition: The FriendShip
So yeah. Thanks to @kfwyre for posting the thread as always, and I hope people can find some games they want!! :D

Spirittea
A friend introduced me to I wanna be the Guy before it became a meme/trend? It just constantly subverted expectations and makes you audibly go "what the fuck?". It will forever be my top wtf game.
For the lucky ten thousand, it's free. It helps if you a little bit of gaming history to understand references (if you actually try to progress).
If available, put me down for:
It's funny, I can't tell you anything about that game because I never played it, but the name is ingrained in my head even now. Mostly as an early rage game, I think. I wish the best of luck to anyone who tries to play it.
Keys sent!
Mind if I get Light Fairytale? Thanks.
Key sent! Enjoy!
Oh no, I hope everything is okay now!
Dreamscaper looks pretty cool, I'll happily take that off your hands.
Thank you, things are as okay as they can be right now.
Key sent! Enjoy! (And yeah, it DOES look cool. It was one I'd used to fill out a bundle because it seemed like I might enjoy it, but my backlog is big enough at the moment.)
Thank you!
Can I haz any of [internet cafe simulator|beholder|tropico 3|spirittea]?
I leave the choice to you
Many tanks
Of course, lucid blocks
Keys sent for Internet Cafe Simulator and Tropico 3! Also, I might actually have to get Lucid Blocks for myself. That looks fun.
Thank you!
Lucid blocks is a really cool game, but it does take sooo much trial and error to figure out how everything works. I can mostly describe it as "heavily modded minecraft but it's a total fever dream and also has a very obscure crafting system"
I hope everything is okay. Your comment sparks some concern. In regards to your question, (one of) the weirdest games I have ever played is INFINI. It only has 29 reviews right now, but I'm slow to recommend it because it is balls-to-the-wall insane. Like, bad trip LSD insane. It's hard to explain, but its story is about anthropomorphic deities representing Hope and Death, but the details won't matter because your brain won't process it. It has a crude artstyle resembling that of ancient civilizations that has a deep, guttural, primal feeling to it. It's creepy, in that bad way that you want to forget but can't.
Here are my selections and some words:
Oh yeah: I did try to redeem the Do Not Feed the Monkeys key, but it didn't activate because it was already in my Steam account. Should be good to go.
Thanks! And Infini looks very curious to me... Weirdly, your description makes me want to try it since I'm a bit of a sucker for surreal and psychological horror. I'll need to check the difficulty with the demo sometime.
Anyways, keys sent! Enjoy!
There's a real existentialist bent to Infini, so go in with your mind clear. Also, the other thing about Infini is that not only is its narrative mind-warping, but its puzzling is too. Basically, the game keeps you off-balance the entire time: you'll get powers and then they'll get taken away; new characters get introduced all the time, like an inaccessible, overly obtuse The Big Lebowski.
If possible, I would like Spirittea please.
I played mostly little educational PC games as a child, though there was an exception- the original Myst on CD-ROM. In theory, it was my stepfather's game, but he rarely played it. Managed to get through about ~40% of the game before getting completely stuck (didn't get at-home internet until well after I had given up the game).
Maybe not a weird choice for its era, but compared to how most games are constructed these days, it's architecturally kinda out there
I haven't played Myst myself (I really need to), but that game's pretty legendary and I'd say it counts. From what I recall it's known to be difficult without guides, so good job to little you for completing so much!
Key sent, enjoy!
uhm... Is it possibile to have Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop)? I frequenly use the first one but colour me curious to see what they have invented on the second one. As far as I know it should be the first game wrapped in sort of 3d enviroment where you can interact with others not only writing mails.
And Beholder 3 (played the other 2 and i found them... quite intriguing). This new iteration seems cool enough to keep the tradition.
Keys sent, have fun with them!
I am sure i will. I'm looking forward to try them as soon as i finish the current game i'm playing with.
Thanks sooooooooo much! :D
I will be blunt/rude, but could I ask for two games? Imagine Earth is something I have looked at in the past and Lost Words: Beyond the Page seems to be the game I would really like to play.
Weirdest or craziest game I have played? I don't remember the name, but I will describe a bit. It was RTS around/before year 2000. It was cartoonish-like, not aiminb to look real or detailed too much. It was played on a grid map (non-isometric, just pure square grid), the main resource looked like salad and was collected with harvestors/combines. There was another reaource like oil or something. There was map editor included. And now for the best part - you could play the game, at the start of the mission, you saved the game and then quit. Then open map.editor, load your save, add bunch of your units into enemy base and save. After reloading your save in the game, you had no problem winning. Rinse and repeat!
Someone asked for Lost Words first, but sent the key for Imagine Earth!
And... huh. Intriguing memory, always fun to hear about vague memories of super old games. Guessing that the map editor wasn't intended to be part of the gameplay like that!
I guess they didn't anticipate using the editor like that! It was quite hard game at the time (which was also likely due to me not being experienced) and this thing helped me to at least see other levels of the campaign.
I will keep looking for the game name as I got curious myself.
Thanks for the Imagine Earth!
I am very sorry for what happened, hope you're all better now! Just remember that time heals.
and I wonder if it's too much to ask for the whatever is left in the beholder series? <:
and as for the crazy game, It's prolly happy wheels (mightn't be childhood game for most tho, but yeah) still love the physics, and how sweaty it all was.
Thanks for the gaw :))
Thank you. And key sent!
And man, now I'm remembering Youtubers playing Happy Wheels. Never played it myself, but definitely a bit nostalgic!
Hi, sending big virtual hugs >< I'll reply in the other thread.
As for games...if the following are still going:
Forests, Fields and Fortresses
Imperium Romanum Gold Edition
Thank you!
EDIT: And to answer your question...there are a bunch of games, most of which I can't remember the name of, which shipped with various Linux distros. My father was a mad Distro Hopper so we got a fresh OS regularly, sometimes every two weeks but usually once a month. Everything would be wiped and we'd have no idea what would be installed. We didn't have internet as these OS's came from CD isos on Linux magazines, so we were stuck with whatever games were shipped with the full installation - which were surprisingly quite a lot sometimes - maybe upwards of 25-50 games! Mostly little arcade games, lots that were super janky and very simplistic - but sometimes we'd find games we really liked and would play them as much as we could until the next wipe. The frustrating part was that we'd get particularly fond of a game and would be gone - possibly forever, or might one day show up again in a future installation if we were lucky. And sometimes the game would show up again as a later version with more content, which felt like Christmas! These games do feel like a fever dream because my memories are just random fragments and they were so temporary and I've forgotten all the names of the games...but here are some: Super Tux, Tux Racer, Rocks'N'Diamonds, Frozen Bubble, Pingus...these are all well-known/popular. There are heaps I can't remember! It was always fun loading up every game having no idea what it would be.
Thank you. And keys sent!
Oh wow, that sounds really cool and like a treasure trove of semi-lost media. That's a perfect recipe for those posts from people trying to discover the names of games with only the vaguest details. I wonder if any games from that time are considered proper lost media now.
Possibly, because I was doing some quick searches for games shipped on Linux distros around that time, and I only recognised a few of my favourites. I will do some proper sleuthing one day. Who knows, maybe the old CD's are still collecting dust somewhere! Thanks again for the giveaway.
I would like to request Summerhouse and The Ramp. Thank you.
Hope you are doing fine, sending you wishes.
Key sent, and thank you! Hope the key works for you!
Hello I am aspiring Mechatronics student and therefore Autonauts interests me a lot as its an automation heaven I would really really like to have this game if its available! I will also like to have Tinytopia it looks like a cute and good physics based game.
Thanks a lot for reading my post!
Keys sent, enjoy!
After wasting an embarrassing amount of money on random game bundles on Fanatical games, I swore I would never get suckered into it again. Which is why I was all the more frustrated this past April when I talked myself into buying one and basically recognized none of the games I got.
So help me make some good come out of this. I have a list of games. Steam keys from Fanatical, so they should all work just fine. First come, first serve. I will never play them. They will just end up in my backlog of game death. You can ask for as many as 3 games at a time, and I'll probably increase that later. I'm hoping the fine people of Tildes will help cover up my shame.

If that won't convince you, its 100+ achievements may. Also, Roto Force is a blast, somebody play that thing.
As for myself, I would like to request these games:

Assuming these are US region codes, I'll put in a request for Gal*Gun Returns because it'll help make a future purchase cheaper - I'm hoping to eventually get a Steam Frame to get back into VR and I hear one of the GG games is decent in VR, if one can get over the admittedly bad theming.
I'm also going to post these older, US region Steam codes publicly because I'm not sure about whether they're valid at this point, so feel free to try to claim any or all of them, by removing the "7" from each code:Nevermind, noticed after posting that the TC doesn't want public codes posted. Incidentally, why is this a thing? I'd rather see codes go to use regardless of the claimant, and its easier on me not to have to monitor for replies/DMs.
I have possibly expired codes for Iratus, Astrea, and Embr. Can't promise they'll work or that I'll give a timely reply, but feel free to ask.
The purpose of the topic is community building, so handing off keys via PMs is a way of connecting with other users. Posting keys publicly often has an opposite effect, as they get claimed quickly and anonymously and can privilege bad actors (e.g. someone who sets up a bot to scrape the topic).
It is a little more work to PM keys, but I think it’s valuable to have them go to a definitive recipient. Little acts of kindness like that make these digital names we wear feel a little more human.
I would suggest making this clearer in future threads then, because its possible to interpret your intent differently, as I apparently did despite reading the original post multiple times. Maybe that's my fault for not reading the history of previous linked threads before deciding to contribute?
Because I probably wouldn't have posted at all had I understood this intent beforehand, as someone with significant anxiety when it comes to anything social. When I do decide to post at Tildes (rarely), its because I feel like I have a unique insight, or in this case because it was a chance to make someone else's day at little cost to myself.
Regardless, intent noted for the future and sorry for bringing up a dispute in an otherwise positive thread.
No worries, and nobody's at fault! I appreciate you being thoughtful and asking for clarification. I also don't want people to feel like they have to read through old posts to participate -- a game giveaway shouldn't have to start with homework!
In all honesty, that rule is more like a guideline anyway, so if it's important to you to post some keys, you can. I would just hate for that to become the norm.
If you're wanting to, I do like the idea of turning the keys into little puzzles or scavenger hunts or something like that. That way you could post them without having to do PMs. Something more than simple obfuscation makes it more fun for people to engage with and less likely that someone can just scrape the topic for games.
No obligation to do that though, of course.

They unlock in Canada, so I would be surprised if they don't work in the US.
For your three games you want to give away you will probably get more eyes if you repost them replying to the original thread.
MARSUPILAMI - HOOBADVENTURE has arguably one of the highest Good Game : Awful Title ratios out there.
Truly, it is a genuinely solid platformer.
The collectibles and time-trial mode reminded me of Crash Bandicoot; the rolling dash reminded me of Sonic; and the overall level design and gameplay reminded me of Donkey Kong Country.
This is a very competent 2D platformer hidden underneath what looks like a cheesy licensed kids' game with a terrible name.
I highly recommend that someone take it.
Would like Red Bow and Roto Force.

I wouldn't mind trying the Agatha Christie game. I periodically get in the mood for some detective sleuthing so would be fun to try that one!
And Anvil Saga looks fun too. Every time I boot up Skyrim again I spend entirely way too long messing around making armor and weapons, so maybe it'll hit that same spot, lol.

Because I asked for a key I will share a key.
I still have limited internet access so I will share one key now and I will send it today or tomorrow, the rest will be sent out somewhere around the 8th or 9th of July at the earliest. First come first serve, for similar requests I will look at time of posting.
One request: Share something you look forward to this year, or something you did in 2025-6 you're proud of.
Game options:
Popup Dungeon.
Metro Exodus.
Kerbal Space Program.
Endless Space 2.
Toejam & Earl: Back in the Groove.
Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021.
Pawnbarian.
This is not a request but a recommendation for Popup Dungeon. This is a game that falls into the genre subset of "fake janky tabletop RPG" in which features get demaked for the sake of real-world charm. Like, animations will be made choppier or reduced to swaying the character back and forth because they're actually a mini-fig stuck on top of a base. Great examples of this include Wartile and The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, so if you've played these incredibly niche games yadda yadda. In this one, the characters are reduced to massively simplified voxel characters as you run around dungeons murder hoboing. I haven't done it myself, but you can import custom skins so you can even play as yourself, hero that you are.
tl;dr Get Popup Dungeon because you're a person with an active imagination, and you like it when games risk getting branded with the "jank" tag when they actively request the use of your imagination to fully come alive.
Endless Space 2 - I'm thinking about writing a talk next year on the production of 'space' in videogames, using the space sim genre (a top tier genre for me) to explore this topic. Traditionally I've played first person sims rather than 4x and I'm hoping to do some research on 4x so that I can cover the space genre and talk about how the vastness of space is condensed in a 4x frame of vision.
Something I did which I'm proud of over the past while is recover from a long illness. I really put the work in physically and mentally over the past couple of years and it finally paid off!
Thank you for the giveaway :)
Congratulations! Hard work can pay off! I hope you're feeling much better.
Key sent! If it doesn't work I have plenty of other keys available.
Thank you all claimed :) And yes, I'm basically as well as I can be I think, still triggers to avoid but those are easy to deal with on a day-to-day level. I've learned so much, it's something I may write about one day on here once I get the time.
Hi everyone, I have two types of giveaways.
Rules for entry
First in first served for the steam keys and raffle for the Grim Dawn pack. What game are you most looking forward to? This could be an early access game that you're waiting for 1.0 or any unreleased game.
Steam keys
First, some Steam keys from the latest Humblebundle:
Overlooting
Construction Simulator
Life is Strange: Double Exposure
Flowers and Deities - Keys not yet available, looks like it will be August. I will DM the key when it arrives.
Direct gift (runs until July 4 at 11.59pm PT)
Second, a direct gift raffle. To redeem: I will need to add you as a friend on Steam to gift directly or (if region locked) gift you a digital wallet card to the nearest value.
Grim Dawn Definitive Edition
Grim Dawn is an ARPG released in 2016 by Crate Entertainment. It's inspired by classics like Diablo but it holds its own with its expansive and creative class system and unique Southern Gothic fantasy atmosphere (you'll hear it in the soundtrack especially). The game has a strong community following, is still being actively maintained and there's a new DLC coming out next month. The DE includes all the DLC excluding the new one, including more class options you can experiment with during the base game and heaps of add on content!
I picked up Grim Dawn 8 years ago when I was looking for a Hack'n'slash RPG. I got about 1/3 into the game and it fell by the wayside inexplicably. I have only picked it up again this year and have been surprised by how good the game is. It's really polished, with a great 'classic' but still modern feel that you can play offline or online with co-op, good loot, distinctive aesthetic - and above all, it's kind of meditative and chill as you cut through waves of enemies. It's the perfect kind of game to have in your rotation when you're not up for something that is too taxing on the brain. The story is so-so and the environments are reasonably linear but the class/build variety is super cool. You can even run pet builds and DOTS if you want a hands-off experience. You don't need any ARPG experience to pick it up, but I'd recommend checking out the beginner builds for some inspiration before you start. Also, the game works well on Linux (Platinum on ProtonDB) and I've been running it with no configs. The only issue I've experienced is a memory leak after long play sessions causing lag - easily fixable with a restart.
I would love to gift this game to someone who suspects they'll get a lot out of it - though no need to rush to play or review on here. I'm certainly going to be playing the whole game now and the new DLC eventually.
I want to mention that the game is made by the same people who made Titan Quest - one of my all time favourite ARPGs. They preserved all of the main mechanics from Titan Quest (skill system, inventory, levelling up, dual mastery builds, many hidden areas in levels), and added in a whole lot of new ones & content.
Whoever enjoyed Titan Quest will definitely get a kick out of Grim Dawn!
I was aware of the connection, but I didn't want to say anything about it because I haven't played Titan Quest, so thank you for adding this! I should probably check out TQ myself...
Any other recs for ARPGs? I found the genre quite obliquely, as I was looking for Dungeon Siege successor when I found Grim Dawn.
Torchlight 2 is another good one, but I haven’t played it as much as Titan Quest & Grim Dawn, so I’m not sure if it’s as deep as the latter two.
Surprisingly, I have also enjoyed Diablo IV, even though the late game is really oriented towards grinding for materials, and less towards grinding for items. I’m not a big fan of this approach, so I usually don’t stick to the game for long. I drop in once in a while, level a class to the max, then drop off until some interesting new content is added. But you can’t go wrong with Diablo II, which has recently been remade.
A less known one is The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, but I can only vouch for the first one. It’s worth a playthrough, if you buy it on a discount.
Hellgate: London is another one I thoroughly enjoyed back in its time, though it is a bit rough around the edges.
While not an isometric ARPG, I think that the Borderlands series qualifies for the genre. It’s more loot based than other games (in a good way - there’s some wacky weapons to be found in these games). Out of them all, I probably enjoyed 1 & 2 the most. But 1 is a bit dated by this point, so you should probably stick with 2.
V Rising also scratches the isometric spell-based combat itch, but not so much the grinding for loot one. I can describe it as Valheim with a Diablo-lite coat of paint. It is a game you play through once then you’re done with it - no endgame grinding or activities. It also has enjoyable building mechanics.
And I think that’s about it when it comes to ARPG recommendations I can make. There’s some good free-to-play ARPGs that I could mention, but I don’t like this monetisation model so I can’t recommend them. I prefer paying for my game & having all gameplay mechanics unlocked.
Thank you this is much appreciated - I've not played any of these titles and will be noting all these down. For whatever reason, I managed to skip over most of the ARPG genre growing up, so have yet to play Diablo. And yes, I feel the same way about F2P games. There's more than enough good singleplayer fully purchasable titles to keep me going for a very long time!
I tried playing Torchlight 2 on SteamDeck before, the controller support seemed weird/off.
I would like to put my hat in for the Grim Dawn raffle, please.
Ah, yes. The "Dynasty Warriors" after-work destress session. I'm most interested in this as a Diablo surrogate. I enjoyed Torchlight 2, and am looking for others.
Entered!
And yes, there's a certain flow to ARPGs that I really like. I have not played Torchlight 2 yet, but that's another one on my list.
Torchlight 2 is interesting because there is one build that breaks the whole game apart. Like , Nightcrawler in X-Men Legends type of break the whole game apart. If you like tinkering with builds, you can probably figure it out..
And here I am forgetting to fulfill entry requirements on my claims and then again for my own giveaway ...I will have to very politely un-enter your entry temporarily XD
EDIT: Good to know re Torchlight 2 - also looks like a game where you have limited options to respec and can't change classes? My Grim Dawn character is less than optimal and I was surprised to find that there's no 100% reset button. I'm honestly thinking of starting over and dual-classing with the new Berserker mastery when the DLC releases, but I might wait for community impressions first.
Ah, nuts. I missed this part, these words that were written at the top of the post. Please allow me to supplement my entry with the following:
I am most looking forward to Showa American Story. I have a preference for video games that are flat out bonkers, so here's the pitch for this game: What if Japan conquered the USA after WWII, and then that world was then conquered again, but by zombies? I get it, this is quite an insulting premise, one that turns the US into a two-time punk-ass loser, one that fulfills the "ugly American" trope to its logical end by turning a Japanese influence into an all-out friendly assimilation. But. The art direction for this game is unlike anything we've seen before. Think what the USA would be like if it was "prettified" by a dominant Japanese aesthetic? The result: Style for days, and with the zombie/catastrophe angle, there is a destruction element that allows for further deconstruction of the American ethos.
Gamers have been allowing Japan to flat out crap on the USA in games like Dead Rising and Resident Evil (you are a sly dog, Capcom). Whenever this game comes out, this will take Japanese vengeance for black rain to the next level, and clueless gamers will be all for it.
So, you can understand my excitement for Showa American Story.
I was hoping you'd pick something out the gate that would be impossible to guess, and this truly delivered. Honestly, I'm sold on this! Refreshing to see such a bold and playful postmodern pastiche. I'm too much of a patient gamer to get on board soon, but I'll keep an eye out for this one.
Re-entered!
All right! Back in the black!
In hindsight, I think a much easier way to describe this game would have been "What if the City of San Fran Tokyo (or whatever) of "Big Hero 6 was a country?" Am still totally floored this never got a sequel, but that just means the nostalgia for this forgotten Marvel movie will be huge down the line.
Hello Eidolon 👋, Can I have Construction Simulator? I have always been intrigued with construction/building/farming games, Thank you for reading!
Hello there, I'd be delighted to send you a key if you can answer the above :D
I got my hands on Tiny Life, Tiny Life is in early access and you may enjoy playing if you like cozy games like Sims and Stardew Valley!
Forgot to mention I am also excited about Astro Arena by Tencent. its 3v3 fast paced (5-minutes) MOBA game for mobile devices launching on 9 july for 4 region only as of now, you can also check it out if its available in your region.
I was getting my Sims 1 nostalgia from trying out Project Zomboid with friends a while back, but that game is not so cute and cozy! Good to know there's a more traditional experience out there and I like that they've gone for the pixel style. Key sent!
EDIT: I found Astro Arena on Youtube. Not releasing in my region - and I'm not a mobile or MOBA gamer myself so I have no reference points to comment on the game itself - but I used to enjoy watching colleagues go all-out PvP on their phones when I had an Office job and listening to them talk about the latest updates (the seemingly never-ending quibbles about rolling class balancing). Glad you've got something to look forward to soon.
I kind of love MOBA games, they feel so fun, especially games like Honor Of Kings as it is completely skill based and you can't Pay to Win. I actually haven't really played PC games till now, I tried multiple times but I sucks at it and am not willing to put in multiple hours just to learn to play, and nowadays it feels like games are more of a work than something to have fun with, anyways I love playing mobile games, reason being haha I am comfortable with them as that's what I played my whole life. Computers have been new thing for me, its will be 3 years soon since I first bought Laptop, have been fun learning to use laptop, I can touch type a normal speed (50 wpm), know how to use laptop mostly and markdown , also have started using debian since last november, oh also do recommend me if you know some game which is like good for learning to play a game and beginner friendly!
EDIT: Once again thanks for giving me Construction Simulator
Late reply...this is not an easy question for me to answer because I have the opposite issue. I've played PC games more or less exclusively since childhood - no consoles or mobile games. As a result I find those platforms difficult and non-intuitive, and I like PC so much that I have no motivation to change my ways. So, I don't think I'm well placed to answer this, but here is what comes to mind:
Don't be afraid to just step up and try stuff! I'd be careful about soulslikes for now but you might be surprised how you get on with general strategy, simulator or RPG games.
It must be exciting to delve into the vast world of PC gaming. Despite my decades of gaming I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface!
I feel like I should buy a console for now as keyboard is not working for me, maybe I may like console more as its fairly comfortable to use than keyboard. also I have played GRIS on mobile! 😅
Hi folks, I don't have much in the way of sharing, but I would like to pass on these Steam keys to anyone interested.
Steam games:
Inertial Drift: Stylish cel-shaded twin-stick drift racer. Yes, that's right: twin-stick; your car has a big booty and the right stick fishtails it over the road. EDIT: Still available, but this key may be compromised. Ask for details.EDIT THE SEQUEL: CLAIMED, but as of Sat morning, you're still able to claim the same key for what has become better known as Big Booty Car Sliding Game from @kfwyre 's massive giveawayPrincess Farmer: Match 3 puzzling via a pixel art VN for anthropomorphized rabbits.CLAIMEDDLC (games not included, you need the base game for these):
I am not sure if the keys are still valid, so YMMV. Please share which key you want in a comment and specify which gaming controversy is your favorite so far this year.
I don't think there will be a high demand for any of these, so I'll give them out to the first request.
If it's still available, I'll take the key for Princess Farmer, seems like a fun way to kill an afternoon
You got it. DM sent.
Inertial Drift is excellent. It's the most novel arcade racer I've played in a while, and its visuals are gorgeously stylized. Each car controls so differently that you genuinely have to learn each one separately and develop different muscle memory for them. It has a surprising amount of depth for a big booty car sliding game.
I liked the driving (though the left stick seems to be wholly underperforming), but the story part left me cold. I think it was a good part of the game, but that it seem circuitous and friction-free. I'm glad that they all got along, but it lacked drama. Hate to say it, but this bland, stereotype-less game could have used a Capcom-type raging stereotype to liven things up.
Right up there with Highway Crossing Frog.
This year? Oof.. I pulled myself out of the controversy bubble a while ago, but I suppose GTA may have finally set the new price standard everyone feared.
The Steam Machine being worth the cost or not is also really dependent on the person though emotions run high! People really wanted this thing to be the bees knees and looked for another Deck slam dunk. You can feel the disappointment drip from the page.
My "favourite" is the controversial EU decision around Stop Killing Games. I hoped, though did not expect, something a little more substantial than what's currently presented from the EU council: an entirely non committal acceptance that the status quo sucks.
As for my request, Inertial Drift. A twinstick racer sounds like a dream to play on my Steam Deck while I'm currently out in the countryside with oodles of time on my hands.
Because I don't like asking for things, I'll post a key to this thread myself that I have left over from the previous giveaway thread.
Sure thing, sending DM.
Thanks again! I'll be trying some drifting this evening.
I have a copy of Gato Roboto that's going to expire soon, if anyone wants it. It's a fun little metroidvania - nothing mind blowing, but a fun little game with a clean and well-done art style if you're into the genre.
Dear kind Tildes user, I would love to try out Gato Roboto if it is still available; not sure how soon it will expire, so I will throw my hat in now. I've had my eye on it for the longest time, but kept missing it. I have an affinity for "one-bit" games; I think they're "pure" in that these games all share the same limitations, but in their own way have overcome it. Obra Dinn and Minit are two other ones that come to mind, and I loved those (at least the latter one). I'm interested to see how Gato Roboto keep the action clear and organized.
DM sent!
Thank you so much for this! I finished it, and loved the visuals and the smaller scope. It has a lot in common with Haiku, the Robot, another game I really enjoyed. Thanks for giving me the chance to enjoy this game!
This giveaway is now closed.
Hey all. Last June I gave away Lingo, which I had played recently at the time.
Only this Junely! I am raffling off multiple copies of the traditional Worms Armageddon on Steam! And also Lingo 2! I repeat, this is a raffle. It's not on a first come first served basis (unless not enough people want the game). If you'd like to join the raffles, please read on.
Worms Armageddon: In this surprisingly Steam Deck verified game from 1999, one or more players control teams of worms shooting a vast arsenal of weapons in a little 2D environment. When creating your team, you get to customize, among other things, your team name and the names of your worms. Can you do that? To join this raffle, please reply with a team name and names for four worms (at least). You don't actually have to use those as your team and worm names at any point in the future!
Lingo 2: In the Lingo games you are required to solve hundreds of word-based puzzles. What's your favorite word-based computer game? Please list at least one computer implementation of a word-based game that you'd like to recommend. If you don't know any, you can instead look for an implementation of an offline word-based game that you've never tried!
hey there, I'd like to partiticpate on raffle for Lingo 2!!! as for a puzzle word based pc game, I haven't played much of it, but I strongly remember Baba Is You, a friend of mine recommended, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to give word based puzzle games a shot.
Welcome to Tildes. Congratulations, yours was the name drawn to win Lingo 2! Please DM me your steam username ASAP and I'll send it to you.
I'm not entering; I just wanted you to know that I got Lingo from you last year, and that game is very interesting, but tough! I don't know if I have the stamina for it. It requires a journal to jot down your findings, like going on an architectural dig. I recently completed Cryptmaster, which is similarly a first-person puzzler; I kept notes on that, and while both games feature word puzzles, Lingo is much more unforgiving, even with its hint system. Hopefully, with the right headspace, I will have the fortitude to try it again. Thanks very much for giving me the chance to try it out!
Late to respond, but please add me to the Lingo 2 raffle! My favorite game like this is the relatively obscure LOCK, which was created by Pixel_Gorilla in Dreams for PS4. Since most won’t easily be able to play it themselves, I recommend watching this playthrough video. It’s very well designed and quite challenging.
I love Worms Armageddon too but I already have that one so I’ll leave it for another to discover.
Hi friends!
I'm definitely a bit late, been kinda all over the place recently with a breakup (yeah again gotta love my love life amirite) and navigating dating in the city along with traveling and other things!
Wanted to do somewhat of a continuation of last time's giveaway from my side and go through all my Humble Keys and figure out what I need to give away, but also, I wanted to do another $25 donation to any charity of choice, just because I know that I'm in a privileged position to do so.
When you ask for a key, please also comment which charity you think is worth donating to and why. any comment without this comment will not be considered for a key either! if you want multiple games, you should probably submit multiple charities :)
In a week, I will look through the comments and randomly select one charity to donate to! I will be private messaging keys throughout though!
Humble Games:
Daemon x Machina Titanic Scion
Tempest Rising
Bread and Fred
Core Keeper
Tomb Raider IV, V, VI Remastered
Hunt: Showdown
Etrian Odyssey II HD
Streets of Rage 4
WWE 2k25
Warhammer 40k Speed Freaks
Griftlands
Beneath Oresa
Thanks for the giveaway! I'd like to put my name in for Core Keeper, and I'd recommend donating to the Electronic Frontier Foundation - between Chat Control, KOSA, AI-powered mass surveillance/Flock network, the surge of age verification legislations across Western countries, and many other political movements, our rights to digital privacy/anonymity are being rapidly eroded and the EFF is probably best positioned to do something about it.
As a side note, Louis Rossmann and Benn Jordan seem to be doing some great activism/awareness work in these areas as well, there may be a way to donate to them or orgs that they endorse if this is a good cause for you :)
Sent! hope you enjoy the game!
Non-gendered bro, please take care of yourself. If the relationship is over, just move on. Every day is tough, but improvement won't happen unless you agree to move on with your life. You're important, don't lose sight of your goals, good luck. It is now an excellent time to play video games.
Regarding charity recommendations, please consider donating to Ecojustice. Environmental activism is great, but the truth is that intent without action is meaningless against those that use their power and resources to avoid consequences. Ecojustice puts truth to power by getting actual results, holding massive corporations and the government to account through legal representation and government lobbying.
As Canada's largest environmental law charity, they have worked to protect the environment and limit climate change, earning no less than 63 legal victories since it was founded in 1991.
Here are just a few examples of the good work Ecojustice has accomplished:
This is all to show you that donating to Ecojustice will bring real-world results. A charity like Ecojustice is necessary as the voice that will champion the environment against those that would exploit it.
My selection is for Daemon x Machina Titanic Scion, please. I am not normally a fan of gundam-style mechs that places style over substance (which is usually my just my thing; I suppose "giant battling robots" is where I draw the line). But the story, which is getting put to task in the reviews, looks delightfully bonkers. I can think of no better way to end a cutscene than to have a character strap into a mechanized murder machine to work out their anger issues. I find that if I'm not confused enough by all the backstabbing and reveals and plot twists, it lacks a certain over-the-top je ne sais quoi.
Sent! thank you for the recommendations and everything and for your kind words! sorry it's a couple of days late, I've just been kinda swamped
Awyeah! Super mech melodrama coming my way! Thank you so much!
Got 4 Humble Bundle Steam keys to raffle off, I'm US region if that matters. I'll check again roughly a week from this post.
Conditions are as follows:
I would like to put myself in the raffle for ULTRAKILL entirely because of…
…this tweet.
One of my retirement-age coworkers just got her first tattoo. I complimented her on it and she started BEAMING, telling me all about how excited she was and how she had never had one before but she figured it was a great time to start at her age. The tattoo itself was really elegantly done and suited her perfectly, and I was struck by her vibrancy and willingness to make a “big” change for herself at her age. It was a nice reminder that youthfulness can be a mindset and an openness to new experiences, rather than something that’s purely age-delimited.
I would like to put my hat in the raffle for this game. It looks like a full on nostalgia trip but with baked in QoL improvements for a younger generation that won't put up with "Golden Age" annoyances, so it looks interesting to play just to see how these compromises will play out.
My grandpa was a character. Like an old person, everything had to be his way. I saw a lot of it when he stayed with us. He'd do things like sleep on the carpet. In the living room. During the middle of day. But through him, I learned about gardening and how to make plants grow. He was very methodical about his plants.
Thank you!
The raffle is over! u/BailerAppleby, u/xavdid, and u/kfwyre have won their respective games! By default. Truly the best kind of victory. DMs will be sent shortly!
Thank you for sharing about your grandparent/coworker. My grandma always had the tv or radio on for the news, always thought it was important to be updated on things. I guess one of my core younger memories is just listening with her for her opinion and one of us translating for the other depending on the language.
