I would recommend Stephen King's memoir, his memoir On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. In it he talks about why he got into writing, his battle with drug addiction and alcoholism, and the fact that he has books that he has no memory of writing because of the drugs that he taking. This was the first book that he wrote after the car accident back in 1999. King does talk about writing in general, alongside advice and his opinion on writing. So it is really half a memoir, while the other half is King's writing manifesto.
Another memoir that I would recommend With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by E.B. Sledge. The only issues that I have with this memoir is that the wording that Sledge uses is very dated. The memoir is about Sledge's combat experiences during Peleliu and Okinawa. Some of the background that you would find about it is that he had wrote down some things about what had just happened to him in a small travel size bible, which really gave some of the scenes that he describes in vivid detail. This was also used as one of the stories in the show the Pacific that HBO made.
Another one is a weird one because it is part memoir and part history, and it is The Anatomy of the Nuremberg Trials by Telford Taylor. Taylor was one the American prosecutors for the Nuremberg Trials. And he talks about a lot of what happened and his thoughts on the matter. He does include some historical information as to why the Allies and the USSR went with this way and not to get victor's justice or to let the Germans conduct the trials themselves. He also describes the relations that the Soviets and their Western counterparts that went from warm to cold after the Iron Curtain had felled, which I had found interesting. The reason that I had included the "part history" thing at the beginning is that he does talks about some things that he would not have access to at the time of the trials, but he does have access to other people's journals because their families gave him access to them that were involved in the trials.

My initial reaction to the book was how the hell does Noah have a sense of humor considering what he had went through. Granted, it might be due to the fact how his mother had raised him, along with his immediate family members, such as grandmother, aunts and cousins. Another reaction that I had was that Noah is a great story teller, no matter the medium, because a lot of his stand up stuff is him telling humorous and that ability really translates well into a memoir.
edit: Sorry for taking a while to reply, I got sick at the beginning of the week.

And I do believe that they both go on sale fairly regularly, even then both cost $10 USD regularly. Both are really good story wise and the first one was one of the first RPGs that I had played. And sometimes I replay them once in a while.

But with Soul, Platonov had issues getting it even published and when it did finally got published, it was heavily censored by the Writer's Union, in that only a few of the chapters got published, with the future editions got more and more censored. It was only until in 1999 that they found and published a uncensored, full version of the novella. And it wasn't until 2003 that it got translated into English, along with some of his other works. And the version that I had read, had told you where the censored version had ended, which was a cool detail that the publishers included.

And after you maxed out the survivor tree and after you unlock the grappling hook traversing the map is really easy and makes the parkour mechanic almost pointless. I am 22% done with the story, and I really can't think of a reason to continue the story nor the game.
Peglin - I got this for Christmas, with the Balatro bundle pack. And I have been playing a run at a time, otherwise I will get annoyed at it and stop playing it (this is a common thing for me for rogue-likes). I mostly asked for because of Angory Tom's playthroughs of Peglin. I can see the complaints of it being really reliance on RNG for the runs, but when the luck is with the player, the builds can get silly kind of quickly. And when your build is shit, the game really spikes up the difficulty because you can't kill the enemies quickly enough.

And Sanderson did said that he is not done with this setting considering that he is planning on taking this setting to a Cold War era (Third Era) and to a Sci-fi setting (Fourth Era). And the magic system for this series is also interesting because it is metal base that the user digests and burns in their stomach, and it is hereditary.
The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. Despite the name the character that the series is named after really, really hates killing and it is the last thing that it wants to do, and the only thing that it wants to do is to watch it's soap operas. It just refers itself as such because of a accident where it went haywire and killed a bunch of people that it meant to protect, but the other characters refer to it by SecUnit. It is a Sci-fi setting. Definitely check this one out from your library because it is a novella series with two full length books mixed in. And the author is not done with the series either.

This book is about the foods that were common during the 1930s and it is a compilation of reports that members of the Federal Writers' Project had created for a project that got shelved. It is interesting to see what people ate from different parts of the country at the time because it was a lot less connected, when compared to the US of today. The editor that put it together is Mark Kurlansky, the author of Cod and Salt.
For the Common Defense: A Military History of the United States from 1607 to 2012. This is probably one of the most important books in regard to the history of the US Armed Forces, in that it is an over view of what the US military did and the strategies that were implemented during wartime. It really doesn't go into that deep in to the history considering that it is only an very broad overview of history, so it is a good starting off point for the different wars and peace time.

The Nivea aftershave balm is a good one because it is a cheap product that does it's job. And after you get through a bottle, you don't really have to get another because by that time you scalp should be used to it being bald.

I am currently using a DE safety razor (after swapping from a cartridge razor) for my shaving needs and while I do love how close I can get, I don't love the time investment that I need to get that way. And if I nick myself on my head with it, it is also not fun.

And that really sets the stage of the trilogy, because your character literally has no name because no one cares enough to learn it. And it is hard because everything wants to kill you, even some of your fellow prisoners and you feel under level or under powered when compared to the veteran prisoners on that island that has the skills that you need to learn so that you can survive and to be an actual threat.
And THQ Nordic is publishing a remake of the first game, that was announced 6 years ago with a playable teaser being released.

And considering he was trying to join the Children of Kali, I would say that his violent actions was more of his radicalization that the heat wave caused, the same that had radicalized the Children of Kali, than his PTSD.
And if the tumor is located in the area of the brain that regulates emotions, that could have caused these behaviors (right?).

India (in the book) really played the role model how to change course from the heavy polluting of getting electricity to more of green way of producing it, moving from the large scale coal burning to the solar farms co-ops. And the whole sale pushing off of the right-wing politics, specifically Hindutva, and electing people that would actually protect them from foreign entities that would try to exploit the land and the people.
The geoengineering that India had done was justified. The reason for this is that the government of India had only one goal in mind, to prevent another heat wave that would kill about the same or more people in their country. What I mean that if it could bring the Indian temperature a few degrees down, and that had helped with preventing another heat wave at that level, that was at the beginning of the book, then the geoengineering had done it's job. And I don't remember if they talked about any side effects that would come off of this.

The reason for this is that the majority of the violence that was dealt by was people who were scared or were traumatized by the massive heatwave and wanted to prevent another one or another mass causality event. What I mean is that the violence that gets talked about was either done by the Children of Kali or by Frank, with Frank wanting to join the Children of Kali when they intentionally formed. But Frank only accidentally killed that one random rich person in Switzerland, and kidnapped the director of the Ministry, Mary Murphy, and he only did that because he was scared and wanted the ministry that was set up to tackle the climate crisis, to do something (I am not trying to excuse his behavior, from Murphy's perceptive, months after this kidnapping, she slowly realized why he did it (if I remember correctly)). And like @Dr_Amazing had said about the healthcare CEO killing last month, I had also drawn some parable of what happened to the killings of the polluting industries CEOs and their killings in the book.

There have been dudes loving and marrying their dolls since forever.
Case in point there was a Japanese man, Akihiko Kondo, that married a Hatsune Miku hologram back in 2018. I mention him because I remember that there was someone that married a hologram of a fictional character in the 2010s. So there is a relativity recent example of someone that married a fictional character, just not in an official ceremony.
That in itself is not a disease -- something only enters the DSM if it is harmful to the individual.
It's apparently called Fictosexuality and apparently the above mention guy that married Hatsune Miku is the founder of a organization that tries to explain what that means to the public.

And if we can get a Mira Jade movie or show, either during the Imperial period as a Emperor's Hand or after Luke had redeemed her back to the light side. The only new Star Wars that I like is the Rouge One, Andor and the final season for the Clone Wars.
One of the things about the Vong, for people that are wondering, they think that using advance technology was blasphemy, thus almost all of their "tech" was organic in nature, including their ships that they used to get to the galaxy that Star Wars takes place in. There is also the fact that the Force had no effect on them at all because something happened in their home galaxy that cut their entire species off of the Force.
And there was a fan theory that Palpatine knew that these guys existed and they scared him, and this is part of the reason why he sunk a lot of resources into two Death Stars, the other being stated in the movies, fear.
Annoyingly my library only has one copy of the book, and according to Libby, there are two people in front of me, and it will take about 6 weeks to get to me, along with the person that has it checked out. So, I might have to skip this month's discussion, which sucks because I really wanted to read this one.
