I'm not sure of the total functionality, but it is based on setting alarms based on celestial events, including sun- and moonrise/set, along with others, I believe. I don't know if it has the capability of the "five minutes before" thing, but maybe worth a look if you haven't already.
Plus it's FOSS :)

It actually really got me wondering about how we might go about expanding this idea to other tiling polygons, which I guess is only triangles.
But we could take it step further, too! What about semiregular tilings? Or tilings with irregular polygons? Could we generalize piece movements such that they are consistent across all tiled planes? What about in higher dimensions? It could be a fun project :)

I'm a man, I guess,...Kind of hate to make a top-level comment what with all the great discussion and insight already here, but this comment doesn't really fit into any of the current conversations.
I'm a man, I guess, though I don't know if I'll feel comfortable calling myself one. I'm young, 25, and like so many others have no relationship with my father. He was (and presumably still is) a narcissistic and manipulative person with a very specific view of what it meant to be a man. Very unique, I know, and my childhood was definitely not as bad as many!
My mother did divorce and remarry to my step-dad. He's great, I love him, he's been there for me much more than my bio dad has, despite knowing me a shorter time and having no impetus to be so kind.
I bring this up because one part of the article that really struck me was in the embedded video where the author asked several men about who they looked up to. All of them mention a father. That's great for people who had a good dad to look up to. Again, my step-dad is great, I love him to death, but not because he's the ideal of what I think a man should be. He's my family and so, despite his flaws, I love him. But I don't model my manhood after him.
That's... actually a little difficult to say, just because I know it would hurt him if he knew. It is the truth, though. I thought about it after watching the clip and while reading through the rest of the article. I do not have a man that I look up to as a model of masculinity. Is that why I feel so lost? Outcast, unable to pinpoint an identity for myself?
I've never felt much of a connection to traditional masculinity. I've never been competitive. I don't yearn to lead or have my name on awards. I never thrived in sports (I always got bored or too scared about getting hit by the ball or other players 😅). Never had a huge drive to be a provider or even seek out money beyond what I need to survive.
I'm lucky enough now to live in an apartment with my fiancée, have a stable job that I love and do well in, and am enrolled in classes to advance my career. But when I move on and I work with vulnerable kids that ask me, "What does it mean to be a man?", what will I tell them? I don't even know what to tell myself!
I digress. All this is to say that this was an interesting read and gave me a lot to think about. I disagree with some of what was said, especially about trying to embrace traditionally masculine traits in a pro-social way. I don't know about all that. The comments about sex, in particular. The idea of teaching young men and boys to "be good" by using the chance of having sex with desirable women left a sour taste in my mouth. That echoes the same misogynist sentiments we hear from the Tates and their ilk. Not every urge that we feel should necessarily be glorified. I'm not saying we should teach boys that sexual urges are bad, but there is a certain benefit(? I can't think of the exact word I want...) to self-regulation.

Here's my sweet girl, Peanut! She is a very vocal lady and likes to roam around our apartment yelling when she wants attention. She can be agressively cute when she wants to be, but also has a gremlin side that she is not afraid to show off.
She also loves to bring us toys when she wants to play. If we don't take the hint, she just keeps bringing more until there is a small mountain of her favorites. And she's a notorious foot-biter in the bathroom and when she wants more attention.
Most of the time, she's very sweet, though! She loves snuggling and always meets us at the door when we get home!

As many others have said, I think it's good for certain groups (like ~lgbt) to remain top-level, especially if those groups pertain to margianalized peoples. In that respect, I'm very glad, as well, with the choices for ~life subgroups. I think those will be useful for creating some more concentrated discussion in particular topics, at least to start.
I am a little perplexed in the inclusion of ~life.style... Wouldn't it maybe fit a little better in ~design? But I don't know, and I guess these are really just to test the waters with some of these new groups, so maybe it'll end up working really well!

The strategy is deep and it requires a lot of thinking and you unlock new possible cards as you go, but it's not a TCG. Instead it's a rougelike deck builder where you have to balance your desire for damage, health, combat rewards and interesting events as you climb higher and higher to... slay the spire?
It's a lot of fun, though, and while RNG can be a pain, the feeling you get from a great run is hard to match! Plus, it's on PC, console, and mobile, so you can scratch your itch whenever you like :)

Even with my limited knowledge and (as you aptly mentioned) despite the public school system, I do have a poem that has always stuck with me and influenced a lot of my interests and creative pursuits. That would be Samuel Taylor Coleridge's epic The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
The feelings of isolation and desolation he provokes in describing the particular madness of the sea that so many others have written about completely swept me away the first time I read it. The story pulled me through time and space and trapped me on that ship with the Mariner. So many lines from it live rent-free in my head, too ("water, water, everywhere..."). It likely singlehandedly instilled in me a love of the eldritch lore of the open ocean, and the tales of the sailors who sail it. It's truly a classic for a reason.

I've also learned that you can use KeePass to set up OTP/2FA. I know that defeats the purpose of having separate 2FA and password management apps, but I've found that the convenience sometimes outweighs the lessened security. I actually have all of my authenticator secrets also in Aegis. That's where they go first, in fact.

It's an arcadey/roguelite game where you have to balance your ability to kill waves of monsters in an endless series of loops with your desire for more and better loot.
Your character is stuck in a timeloop caused by an evil lich essentially devouring the universe. As you progress through each loop and fight monsters, you "remember" different aspects of the world, which you can place on the map to either give you bonuses or spawn more monsters. You also collect resources along the way to improve the village of survivors you encountered and give yourself some good bonuses.
It has quite a bit of depth to it, for its seemingly simplistic appearance. Plus, it runs on my crappy laptop :)

They knew that there was a specific group of people that would do almost anything to see DeS remade, but not too many fans that would throw a fit if there were some changes.
And I think that was a great idea! Look how many people complained about every tiny change in the remake and said that it had "taken away the game's soul." I think FS is well aware of how beloved BB is and, if a remake/remaster is on the way, they will think very carefully about how, when, and by whom it is done.

However, do be aware that after the first couple seasons of the show, the plot lines have mostly diverged from those in the book. Some of this is because of differences between the mediums, some is due to differing creative visions for the show and the books, and some, I suspect, is because GRRM really had no idea for how he wanted to actually end the series. I am not going to get into discussions of the showrunners right now, I'm not well-read enough in the subject.
In my opinion, the books are far more interested in developing character relationships than furthering the plot. And this is a place where I think GRRM really shines. His characters are (mostly) well-written, given realistic aspirations, react to events in human ways, and maintain realistic relationships. It's a very interesting look at politics in a fantastical setting (which I love, and the first two seasons of the show did particular justice to IMO), a portrait of far too many people trapped in abusive and manipulative relationships, of good(ish) people thrown into horrible situations, and an intriguing series of clues sprinkled in that point to an overarching mystery.
If those things sound interesting to you and ypu feel like you can handle never getting an ending (🥲), I would definitely recommend reading (or listening to) the books. It is a very different experience than watching the show, and well worth it in my mind.

Though I do have my fingers crossed for a remake on the 10 year anniversary (slight copium)

Certain gaming subs with their own cultures, like r/bindingofisaac. Where can I go to see "skill issue" posted 100 times every day now?
And also certain hobby subs, like r/worldbuilding, r/conlangs, r/vexillology, and all my birding subs. Where will I get identification practice and see cute birb pics now? :(
Not to poke holes in your suggestion, but solely because I'm uninformed on the topic: how would such a tax be enforced/reported? Surely property owners would be incentivized to lie in an honor-based system, so would there be regular check-ins by officials?
I do like the idea, though. I'm getting pretty jaded by the consolidation of housing by relatively few companies/individuals in my town, too.
