    Yeah not saying I don't believe you, just surprised as it wasn't my experience at all. All I can assume is that it's something you notice more than me. Maybe my old man's eyes saved me from the motion sickness. I also had no issue with God of War, so seems the most likely answer.

    They both are trash if you take them for anything besides entertainment. I would take the Dice awards or BAFTAs if I wanted serious awards.

    So... TGA is trash and Steam is great? We've all known that forever. But TGA is a marketing show, and Steam's awards are a glorified blogpost. So guess which award set gets all the attention, and consequentially, the credibility.

    They both are trash if you take them for anything besides entertainment. I would take the Dice awards or BAFTAs if I wanted serious awards.

    Completely agree with you on FF6. Put aside that the packed in map completely ruins the big twist, having to literally kill a god to save the world is great. Also, the music in that game has never been topped.

    I have deleted my Facebook, Insta and Twitter accounts as well as Bluesky. I don't think I have had anything else.

    I used to use Reddit a lot and migrated here during the API nonsense. I still occasionally browse Reddit at work not logged in to kill time, but it is noticeably worse.

    Aside from Reddit, I don't miss social media and I don't miss Reddit in its current form. I gradually got to the point where I deleted accounts. I guess Facebook was the hardest for me. I joined when it was "the Facebook" and had a ton of people I knew. That said, I realized I never spoke to most of those people and Facebook was unrecognizable to me. I probably stopped using it 5-6 years before I deleted my account.

    Zero regrets. I don't know what positives people get out of it anymore, but I sure see the negatives. My wife still complains about randoms she fights with on the internet but she is also convinced that she needs social media for her business. I know she would be happier without it but I can't get her to drop it. Not worrying about what random people think or trying to come up with post ideas is freeing and superior. In my opinion anyways, to each their own.

    While not my favorite game, Slay the Spire is awesome. I fully cleared it on my PC and randomly play it now that it's out on Android. If you're reading this, it's like the OG card battler and so well done. Basically endless combinations although a poison Silent run is endlessly fun.

    As for charities, I always donate to the SickKids hospital. Feels extra important this year as one of my employees kids has been in the hospital since October.

    We always stay at my parents Christmas Eve but this year my wife has the flu. We still spent the night together but she slept terribly. In the morning we open presents and have a Swedish tea ring, then drive to my in-laws. We have a second breakfast because we are hobbits, then open presents with my wife's family. My wife is now napping due to her poor sleep and I'm just watching my nephew play Stray while I wait for more family to show up this afternoon.

    Santa was kind to me this year with a lot of Steam gift cards, so I'm looking forward to buying a bunch of games I won't have time to play.

    I'll add that I have used the free version of TickTick for years, so you might find success there too. While I have tried many other options I always end up back at TickTick.

    I do suffer from ignoring tasks, but that's more a separate issue. Personally, if I reschedule a task enough times that's usually a good sign it's not that important and allows me to skip the task.
