The changes are interesting. They clearly tried to tell a more focused story with more "choices". It is nice not constantly having to go back to a hub. This game is a lot more focused. I hope the third one takes more from the Old Blood than the second game.

If you want to hand over guilt money, you can always track down the artist on social media and figure out a way to transfer them money.

I don't know what this is? There is a bill making its way through parliament that looks hopeful for UBI, Bill S-206. However, I cannot find anything about an actual Federal pilot happening in 2026, so I assume this is some kind of weird scam, but I don't know what the scam would be since there doesn't seem to be a link asking for personal info.

Yeah if you're already struggling with Dragon Age, the Hinterlands will end you. I waited years for Inquisition, loved DA:O and dropped off on my first play after clearing Hinterlands.

An excellent speech. Doesn't prevent the fascist state next to us from fucking our shit up, but at least we managed to elect the best leader we could agree the scariest time in my life time.

I joined a political party for the first time in my life so I could vote for Carney. Some of that is definitely being nice to listen to an intelligent adult with a practical outlook.

If I am understanding your complaints about the first two DA games, you'll probably enjoy the combat more on Inquisition at least. It's simplified compared to DA:O but still better than DA2. I hate DA2 and feel like it almost destroyed the series. Inquisition is okay. DA:O is definitely the best game in the series, so you definitely could skip Inquisition and be fine.

If you do play Inquisition, don't make the mistake everyone does and spend too long in the Hinterlands. You can come back, you don't need to full clear it. If you avoid that trap and are still underwhelmed, stop. The game can be pretty long. 30-50 hours for the main story alone.

Love GDQ and love that both you and your husband watch together. I have been trying for years to get my wife to watch with me but she cannot grasp the idea of watching someone else play video games. She is fully on board with the charity aspect at least. My three annual donations are SickKids, AGDQ and SGDQ. It is incredibly wholesome and I love that they have managed to remain inclusive as they have grown.

Fair point. I guess I totally missed the FAQ. Again, anything that gets rid of AI or debloats I am always in favour of.

Still, anything that works to remove AI is always a good thing in my opinion.

Right, you block the non white countries that "no one cares about" and the poor white countries. You don't want those "white poors from Russia" coming and taking American "generosity". People with money can just buy a Trump gold card if they really want in.

Then you slowly add other countries and by the point you add China and they respond by doing the same or more tariffs or whatever, it won't matter because you have complete control of fascist America by then and who cares if the non-whites and Poor's can't feed themselves if they can't do anything about it. They just starve off or are too hungry to fight back. It's a feature, not a bug.

I had zero problems with the pace. I generally enjoy it when a show can take time to establish its world. You could level the same complaint at season 1 of Breaking Bad for it being too slow. I'm not defending it, it turns a lot of people off shows. I still can't get my wife to finish season 1 of BB.

I think a lot of Carol's actions are understandable having just watched Helen die, the world being taken over and all of the survivors seemingly having no interest in trying to save the world. I really liked her character and felt like she was a realistic depiction of how someone could act given the circumstances.

I loved the entire season. My only issue is how the season ended. Requesting a nuke and hiding felt like last writing. This is the same creator that had the amazing call back as we realize that Walter used the plant to poison the kid and the best we could do here was a reference to a throw away joke in an earlier episode? I'll still watch season 2, but the only moment of disappointment I had was right at the end.

Yeah not saying I don't believe you, just surprised as it wasn't my experience at all. All I can assume is that it's something you notice more than me. Maybe my old man's eyes saved me from the motion sickness. I also had no issue with God of War, so seems the most likely answer.

They both are trash if you take them for anything besides entertainment. I would take the Dice awards or BAFTAs if I wanted serious awards.

So... TGA is trash and Steam is great? We've all known that forever. But TGA is a marketing show, and Steam's awards are a glorified blogpost. So guess which award set gets all the attention, and consequentially, the credibility.
