Thanks for this. Nowhere in particular, just figured I would ask for some random recommendations when I finally can make it to Montreal.

Ontario. It was more just a general complaint about the cost of data centres in general. I do love to hear that about BC Hydro! Good policy.

Great, another article trying to convince us that AI is good and the future is now. I guess I better allow them to increase my hydro bill so they can build more data centres! You know you have a winning product when you have to set endless amounts of money on fire to convince everyone that actually your AI slop is good.

Yeah there definitely is some level of less regulation when it comes to space not that regulation and laws have stopped tech billionaires and AI enthusiasts to this point.

I plan to check out the Warlock in D2 and that would be my recommendation assuming you played it in the past. Playing D2 for the first time in 2026 might be weird.

While disgusting, the news "sources" linked above are the typical right wing garbage that have a vest interest in misgendering trans people and calling them terrorists. I expect our real sources of news in Canada will do a better job, but I suppose even that is questionable these days.

Before we go too far down the rabbit hole, I would like to point out the questionable news sources linked here.

Juno News is an outlet owned by True North and "created as an alternative to "legacy media," focusing on right-leaning, independent, and investigative journalism." You can learn more about Truth North here. They are right wing "news" that absolutely have a vested interest in fitting stuff into their narrative including that trans people are terrorists.

Similarly, Western Standard is majority owned by Derek Fildebrandt who relaunched it as a conservative, right wing rag. I invite anyone to look at his wikipedia page and I think you will agree that he aligns with people who want to blame trans people.

This is a horrible tragedy for everyone involved and Canada in general, but until an unbiased source, such as the CBC or even the RCMP, releases the shooters name and details I would strongly doubt any links made to trans people.

I had this past week off work and managed to sink 40 hours into Returnal, which I picked up in the past holiday sale. Something about the game hits a happy spot in my brain. Maybe it's the permanent progression that mainly has to do with unlocking gun perks? Either way I'm really enjoying it. I beat it a couple days ago and I'm on my way to beating it again.

I kept hearing about how hard the game is, but apparently playing with a mouse and keyboard makes it a lot easier. After clearing the music playing boss in act 2, I cleared the rest of act 2 in the same run including the final boss who is insanely easy. It hasn't wrecked my enjoyment of the game. Probably the opposite as I have still had my share of dumb deaths.

Regardless, I'll probably get all of the achievements assuming there isn't some super dumb or annoying one.

Yeah definitely one of the best parts about Hamilton that most people don't think of. If you haven't already, you should check out Tiffany Falls or the Gage Park Tropical Greenhouse.

As an ignorant person, I assumed the main benefit of space data centres would be easy cooling. Learning that that is basically the opposite makes me wonder what benefit there is to space data centres? Less rules? Less chance of citizens protesting? If Elon is involved I assume it's mostly lies and grift.
