It's not just the availability of pcvr hardware. Even if you have it, it is far from plug and play. I have a quest 2 and a capable pc but have never successfully got it to work. It seems like steam vr fights with oculus software and then eventually locks up my PC to the point I have to remove power. I'm sure it can be fixed somehow, but I am well above average user aptitude on this stuff, and you can bet that if I gave up so would many others.

I'm sick of Amazon too, but I still think Kindle is worth it. I am always synched to the correct page on my Paperwhite and my phone.

To me it was one of those things that it was hard to tell at first but then became noticeable once removed. Frame rates over 60 are similar for me. I didn't notice at first, but then taught myself to see it and applied the solution. Practically speaking, is that an improvement? Debatable.

I can definitely see the difference when looking at the pendulum demo. Maybe try it without sync and see if it bothers you. If not, why bother.

First post for me. I don't have anything special to say that hasn't already been said in this thread, but I'm happy to see a lot of people feeling the same. I have been on reddit since before the digg migration and this is probably the final straw for me (that was probably the first time the site got worse imo). I really like the vibe here so hopefully this can be a good replacement. The only thing I will miss is all the niche communites. I wonder if they will find other homes, or if reddit will remain de facto forums for the internet.
