Check if the place you're going to, or a nearby place, has a toilet and spend an extra minute on it just sitting down and taking a moment for yourself -- assuming you're not occupying a busy one or something, everything within reason of course. Oftentimes I didn't even realize I was due for a break from social until I hear the lock click and a weight lifts off my shoulders and my whole body relaxes tangibly
It also helps that they're usually quieter than the busy restaurant or whatever place it was that you were in,
but the main part is that nobody will see me or physically interact with me for a few minutes. No mindfulness of other people, not being in their way, no resting bitch face to be aware of when you give people death glares unintentionally, no need to pick up on or tune out any conversation, none of all that -

Here a moderator is just another user - one who has been around at least long enough to absorb the culture.
From the docs page you linked:
Each application of a "Malice" label on any comment will send a notification to the moderator/s, who will review the comment and take appropriate action. Currently, the only person with the ability to view Malice labels is @Deimos, the site admin.
I was already wondering how this "everyone is mod" could work when applied fully. StackExchange has a pretty good instance of it, but there, too, are diamond operators with special privileges that can swing ban hammers that normal users can't.
This voting system, I would just say that everyone can vote on posts, because that's what it is, not actual conversation moderation (maybe in the lightest sense of the word)

Comment on Do you have an internal monologue? How do you think? in ~talk

The post you linked said that an inner monologue would be too slow, but for me it's like I speak 'as fast as thought' (but of course there's never misunderstandings because it's myself in my own head). I don't feel like it slows me down, though on a rare occasion I may be distracted by a pronunciation issue, being not natively english but mostly operating and thinking in english.
It was so mind-blowing to meet someone who said they don't have this at all: they don't think in any sort of words, written or spoken. Things in their head are somehow just ideas and then that somehow translates on the spot to normal words like anyone else. When reasoning about something, there was no actual internal 'reasoning' going on in any verbal sort of sense, but she was one of the brightest students of the class. I couldn't wrap my head around this and still occasionally think back to that conversation ten years later.
I wonder how she's doing, she deleted the chat app we used and didn't respond to an email I sent but maybe the mailbox is also unused. She had some issues so I really do wonder if she's fine, but also don't want to stalk if she doesn't want contact...

Comment on Redditors of Tildes, which subreddits are you missing the most during the blackout? in ~tech

if I'm gonna be honest...
the porn subs were what I find are hard to replace. Going to a dedicated porn site means videos with misleading titles, titles that contain all the keywords at once that may (or may not!) be somewhere in the video, terrible tagging/categorization, professionals playing at being amateur (of course reddit has a lot of that going on as well, but among the roleplaying, some are at least convincing)... and then there's the ads. I'd be fine paying for the hosting costs at minimum, but none of the sites seem to want cash in the mail (no matter how much shit judge+jury+executioner visa and paypal give them about withholding their sole source of income) and I'm not about to tie my real name to an account like that with all the data leaks going on nowadays. Also because I would want to keep this separate from my accounts-to-use-by-day, I used a third party reddit app for this. Well... thanks spez
Not many people mention this, is that because people don't have easy throwaway accounts here or is it really just me?
The "details" tab here is fun :D
And many of the others quite striking. The occasional test I did with stable diffusion was as a 4-year-old's crayons stands to the outputs here.
