What have you been watching/reading this week? (Anime/Manga)

Last week I didn't realize I hadn't made the weekly post until it was a couple days too late, so I decided to just rollover to this week. Sorry, folks. Might have to get someone else to post sometimes.

Anyway, what have you been watching/reading this week?

Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

If you want to, feel free to find the thing you're talking about and link to its Anilist, MAL, or any other anime/manga database you use!

I've been watching one piece with my SOs, currently close to done with loguetown (got interrupted by connection issues last time) and excited to get back to Grand Line stuff. Reading wise I finished Steel Ball Run and started Jojolion, hoping to be caught up on both Jojo and One Piece within the next few weeks (already caught up on the OP manga, don't plan on catching up in the anime in that time)

Read my first real manga - Berserk. Ran through the entirety of it in less than a week. Welp, guess I'll pick it up again in ten years time.

Wait, is Berserk the first manga you've ever read? That's a hell of a starter.

Haha pretty much, why? I don't consider myself a manga fan, many feel too airy for my tastes. Might try Jojo next.

Berserk is often seen as one of the more "out there" mangas, both because of it's highly creative but dark artwork and because it updates slooooooowly.

Darling in the Franxx through episode 16. Finally starts to get into interesting plot stuff, mainly involving teenage drama, and also some important existential questions. The mecha fights are easily the weakest part of the show, the battles feel like they don't matter at all.

Watched an episode of Mobile Suit Gundam UC on Netflix and wow that is a high quality show. Each episode is close to an hour since they were originally OVA releases, not TV. Being Gundam, the mecha battles are top notch, especially with Darling in the Franxx to compare with. And in general the story and world feel rich and detailed, and the characters mature. I highly recommend checking out the first episode.

sounds like something a bot or some other kind of automation should handle. I could be wrong, but I don't believe it/they are against the rules. I'm not a programmer so I wouldn't even know how to set a bot up in the first place, but maybe there is an issue for something like that (Auto-Moderator?) on the GitLab?

I don't believe there is, a bot would most likely be reliant on an API, which is in the works AFAIK. Once we have more clarity about that we can start thinking about automating some posts.
