What have you been watching / reading this week? (Anime/Manga)
What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

Decided to start watching Hero Mask II, which really comes off feeling like the first season. Picks up right where it ended, and kinda feels like this season would work much better if you started watching it after finishing bingeing season 1 with how similar it is.
Are you liking this show? Hero Mask has really dismal rating on MAL but I believe the plot is decent with well-choreographed action scenes.
I'm still liking it, it comes off feeling more like an american or british cop show to me than an anime. I don't feel like it will win any awards, but for me it is a solid average.
Dropped GRANBELM, I know it's late but it is just not doing anything for me now that it has shown it's true form as Madokagelion.
Astra is plugging away nicely, seems to be a pretty solid show and would play well as a YA Novel.
Maidens is covering a whole lot of ground right now, and I hope it can stick the landing.
Demon Girl is still doing it's four panel fluff and as much as I would love for it to break format and have those two crazy kids solve whatever magical girl/demon tensions are active, or for that to be addressed, fluff is good too.
Starting up Code Geass season 2. End of season 1 really stepped things up, wow!
I started watching Vinland Saga, which is currently airing. I finished all the already aired episodes, then finished the manga (which isn't done yet either). It's a Viking epic following a boy who becomes immersed within the medieval battles characteristic of Vikings. In my opinion, it's really good. The plot is incredibly compelling, with believable characters, and interesting historical insight. There's enough comedy to keep the story fun, but not too much as to detract from the plot. There's a bit of a tone shift from the beginning of the manga to the end, but in my opinion it only gets better.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how the anime adapts the rest of the manga, but so far I think it's done a great job.
Wanted to get into that, but too many shows and it didn't really grab me from what I saw. Should I try again or did it not really change from the first couple episodes?
The anime definitely has a slower start, but I still think he story overall is incredible. Personally, I would recommend reading the manga, and then watching the anime sometime in the future when it's done airing.
