I feel like I'm watching very little this season, and the shows I am watching I don't really care a ton about. And really it has been that way for a season of two, I've had just 2 or 3 shows I really cared about this year. But mostly it was just rather forgettable.
Also I really don't like the anime feminist 3 episode review things, it always seems to be overly harsh on random things. They seem to hate and maybe not even understand things like gag anime at times, Average Abilities review is a decent example. I feel there is a massive difference between somebody liking and kidnapping cute girls in a gag show, verse a serious dark mature show. But they treat everything like it has to be serious, and the gag is damaging to everyone who watches it.
IDK, I'm probably not even close to the audience who reads their content. The only time I go to their site is when it gets posted here.
I think it's something similar to the Family Guy argument, in that a dumb gag is derivative, but it also kind of normalizes it as an acceptable thing to laugh at.
And also, they are TV critics, and there's only so many ways you can say this is played out and not for me.
Lol was this article written to tear each and every seasonal apart frame by frame?
Anyways despite the generic cliché this season has to offer, shows like Cautious Hero, No Guns Life are pretty decent and I have been hearing good reviews from my pals regarding Babylon.
So far, I have been only digging Kabukicho Sherlock despite having only 3/24 episodes on-air till now.
This is the first time in a while where none of the new season's anime have managed to garner my interest. It seems like most of the studios are just coasting on some by-the-numbers comedies. While I can't speak for anyone else, I'm isekai'd out.
Yeah, I'm watching Stars Align and following a couple shows out of inertia. Even though I usually follow only a couple shows a season, it's rough this go around.
The good thing is that we are no longer starved for anime content like we used to be. I, for one, am catching up on my Armored Trooper VOTOMS. 😸
I know we have the auto posts, but I figured that we should have a thread for what we're following and dropping three episodes in.
