What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

I finished watching Kaguya-Sama: Love is War. It's kind of odd; it's not at all something I would normally watch, and it feels like it really shouldn't work, but it's just so well executed - it lands all of the jokes perfectly.
In the meanwhile I'm well aware of the new season of Re: Zero coming out this year, but I'm trying to delay watching it because I don't know if I can wait for the episodes to come out just once a week. So I'm going through the first season again. I'm not sure what else to say about the show that everyone probably doesn't already know. "Come for the isekai premise, stay for the moe?"
I just finished Kill la Kill and it was so much fun. I need to find more gonzo anime like that!
Probably going to want more stuff from Studio Trigger, as well as late Gainax, since it was the same team that would eventually become Trigger.
Awesome thanks! I was looking through their catalog and saw they did BNA, which I also just loved. I'll definitely have to check out more from Trigger!

Well I was supposed to post this that was fully finished on Saturday, but hey maybe its early enough that someplace in the world it is still Saturday. But anyway; finished up Tatami Galaxy Specials and it was fine, didn't do anything amazing or change the original show anyway. Also started Shiki, not sure what to think of it yet but it isn't doing much for me.
2020 Summer Week 4
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Ep 4
I love characters who normally fight and seem like they can never get along, just getting along. Even in a show like this were I know they don’t hate each other or anything. But it is a nice change of pace from the various arguments. Combining it in the same episode that they teased Senpai relentlessly with the glasses but showing that he didn’t take any of it to heart was a great mix also.
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax! Ep 4
Took 3 bloody seasons, but he has finally made a choice as to the girl he likes. I think this is my main issue with this show, especially after so many other romance shows have come around that the couple forms within episodes of the beginning. With this instead the couple is going to form a few episodes from the end of the show, so you don’t actually get to see them being a couple. In general, I just feel like this whole romance has been drug out forever, over many years and seasons and that once the meat of the relationship is possible to start the show will be over and that satisfying romance will never happen. I’m sure some people like that long drawn out chasing the romantic partner thing, but for me it just feels like a waste.
2010 Summer Week 4
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan Ep 3
This might end up being a bit more complicated than I predicted, but I still hold that it is going to play out in an awfully familiar way. I don’t think my prediction is too far off.
Episode itself wasn’t bad, had the kinda tired plot of exploring a building while the main character tries to hide something. Been done a million times now, and it still isn’t all that amazing of a plot point. I don’t think it brought along anything new or interesting at all, but it didn’t do a terrible job at it.
Amagami SS Ep 3
What an odd episode, I wasn’t expecting this at all. The entire episode had this kinda strange sexual tension about it, and honestly makes me wonder if we might get a tad bit of actual hentai near the end of this arc. Though while I say that I kinda loved this episode and really want to see the relationship progress.
Cat Planet Cuties Ep 3
I still think this show is absolutely insane and is one of the strangest shows I’ve watched recently. But I am really liking it thus far, shows that just don’t take themselves seriously and have fun are so enjoyable. Even the harem, which I normally hate, I’m not minding due to how casual and silly everything is. The ecchi stuff as well isn’t annoying me for whatever reason, it is just fun, and I don’t even consider taking it seriously.
Want to mention the kinda odd ED the show has. I always wonder what makes shows decide to do a limited stylized real-life photos in the ED.
The Tatami Galaxy Specials Ep 3
An episode and story dedicated to fishing and chasing the girl. This episode was essentially par for the course when it comes to this show. Overall, this little group of specials was perfectly fine. It didn’t add anything major that changes the story of the show or the characters and doesn’t even build anything new. But instead just some short unique quirky shorts.
Shiki Ep 1
This episode just isn’t grabbing me and making me interested in the show. I don’t know what it is about the show, but it isn’t doing it for me yet. I’ll give it another 2 episodes, maybe 3 to see if things improve and I start to enjoy it more. In general, I’m not interested in any of the mystery or story and the characters are rather annoying, but the art style is rather interesting.
