I thought it was pretty okay for what it was, but it wasn't necessarily what I wanted. It's very self contained for a Murderbot novella, the framing of the book is that MB runs an errand that gets out of hand in a new place with new characters, and they all gotta get out of dodge. There are connections to earlier events and some stuff that's going to probably come back in future books, but the text is 90% non-stop action sequence, 10% MB wellness checking itself about the action sequence, and as a consequence, it feels like it's a treading water book for me. Good in the moment, maybe less so holistically.

Also from the audiobook side, the narrator sounded a little different to my ear.

Augh I don't have it yet! It's a quick read though apparently
