Just wondering, how many folks don't understand the humor in this one. Have film cameras gone the way of the rotary phone for younger generations?

I have a few film cameras and I suppose I am "the younger generation", being mid 20s. Still not 100% sure what the joke is here - just that the photo is taking a while to take because of issues advancing the film, or is it that the film is ruined because she opened it up to check, thereby destroying the photo of the alien.

I've always loved the far side, never knew he had a website.

Joke Explained The film is ruined. At least the frames she is looking at are ruined. It's like that engineer and ballonist joke. Everything she said is technically correct but completely useless.
